Over three action-packed days, World Skills Ireland Live will facilitate an atmosphere of experimentation and discovery through competitions, interactive events and demonstrations. It is an event that will inspire the next generation of skilled young people to follow their passions, interests and talents for the securement of their own choice of career.

Ireland has a track record of signifi cant success at the competition, and for that, we should be very proud, but it is also important that Ireland’s achievements in practical skills are recognised at home. WorldSkills Ireland 2022 provides an opportunity to demonstrate the breadth of options available to learners in practical education and training. When President Michael D Higgins visited the inaugural Ireland Skills Live event in the RDS in Dublin he said “all of the inatitutes there are doing far-seeing, future orientated work and, I would love to see all parents bring their young people there. That some of the best people who are thinking about how one can express one’s creativity in the most useful possible way can use, in any part of the world. The 3 day event promotes many different careers such as Construction , Hospitality , IT , Mechanics, Hairdressing, and hosts a competition in 25 different skills categories. This is the 46th year of WorldSkills and the fi nal will take place in Shanghai.
