This amazing space was completed in November 2019 and was just open over 3 months when Covid struck. “The amount of people that said how tough it was for us to be closed after investing so much in the salon but every day we are thankful we did this project as we have so much space and both staff and clients feel so safe particularly in these times” said Anthony. The salon design and fi t out was an integral part of the build, most of which was sourced locally. The much admired salon styling units, chairs and massage basins were supplied by David Donnellan of Xpert Professional, the quality and design of which give a wow feel to the salon. As Anthony is a Alfaparf Nexxt Generation Educator, Salon 2 is one of the main stockists of popular brands such as Alfaparf, Joico, WOW, Actyva and Moroccan Oil. The fi rst fl oor of the salon was designed to accommodate The Academy @ Salon 2 which thankfully is back in action this year as the Alfaparf Education Team provides ongoing training and upskilling to hairdressers in the North West. This bright spacious area is the perfect space for teaching and learning. As Salon 2 has a highly skilled award winning bridal team , the Academy space is also ideal for bridal parties where brides can relax with their family and friends in their own private space. This included working together to research and source our own brand of The Secret hair extensions while also gaining VTCT accreditation for the Academy. We also set up our own private education page where our senior stylists put videos up so our trainee team could continue to upskill during lockdown. This was a massive success as hairdressers are so creative, I felt we struggled when that was taken away from us,” said Anthony. The future is certainly bright and exciting for Salon 2 and with a such a progressive team working in such a bright, fun environment, lets bring it on.
