Although sports may take up a portion of a student’s free time, people often overlook many bene몭ts of playing sports. Sports not only encourage students to exercise but frequently result in physical and mental bene몭ts. Additionally, sports can keep students on task, teach valuable time management skills and provide social opportunities.

Physical Bene몭ts Sports are typically rigorous in exercise. As a result, sports frequently give students the opportunity and motivation to work out that they may otherwise avoid. Sports may include large amounts of running, like basketball or soccer. They may also include other types of cardio, such as swimming or gymnastics. This allows students to keep their bones and muscles strong. As a result, students who participate in sports tend to be more physically 몭t and may continue working out even after discontinuing the sport.

Mental Health Playing sports also brings a variety of mental health bene몭ts. Working out and playing sports causes the brain to release an important neurotransmitter known as serotonin. Serotonin is known as a “feel good” hormone, which leads to a better mood and feelings of overall well-being.
