DRUG BUST: Operation Indictment nets 43 and Karen Russell Murray, 138 TR Foster Road, operating a 2005 GMC, were traveling in the right lane of the west-bound lanes of US 74 Bypass when Murray moved into the left lane and the Whitfield car lightly rubbed the left front fender of Murray's vehicle doing slight damage. AUG. 21: Officer J. L. Dee said that Jose Reyes, Clover, SC, operating a 2012 Dodge, backed into a parked 2004 Saturn owned by Melissa Hamrick, 212 E. Parker Street. Property damages were estimated at $2,000. AUG. 22: Officer J. L. Dee said that Bertha Yelton, 914 Margrace Road, operating a 2003 Chrysler, backed into a 2015 Hyundai operated by Michael Cagle, Gastonia. The accident happened in the parking lot of 1104 Shelby Road. Property damages were estimated at $2,000. AUG. 23: Officer S. D. Shockley said that a deer ran out in front of a 2002 Dodge operated by Pearl Fowler, 120 Haven drive doing $1,000 damage. AUG. 24: Officer H. W. Carpenter said Kimberly Watkins, 218 Morris St., operating a 2003 GMC, was traveling north on Ramseur Street and Joyce Guye, Shelby, operating a 2001 Ford, was t raveling south on Ramseur street. Guye moved into the north-bound lane and the mirror on the Ford hit the mirror on the GMC doing slight damage to both mirrors. AUG. 24: Officer H. W. Carpenter said that Dianne Fredell, 1308 Long Creek Road, operating a 2001 Ford, backed from a parking stall at 709 York Road and struck a 2011 Ford operated by Glenda Fish Ruff, Grover. Property damages were estimated at $4,000. AUG. 28: Officer M. S. Macopson said that a 2005 Nissan owned by Sandra B. McClain, 102 Chestnut Ridge Church Rd., was struck by an unidentified vehicle in the parking lot of the Kangaroo convenience store. AUG. 28: Offier H.W. Carpenter said that a 2001 Ford operated by James L. Nashstyers, 132 Country Creek Dr., rear-ended a 2004 Ford operated by Boyce W. Patterson, 1018 2nd St., while both vehicles were travelling westbound on Hwy. 74. An estimated $2,500 in damage was sustained by the Ford driven by Patterson, while the Ford driven by Nashstyers sustained an estimated $5,000 in damage. AUG. 29: Officer K. Bell said that a 1998 Nissan operated by Brenda O. Williams, 304 Wilson Terrace, collided with a 2001 Buick operated by Jennifer W. Lambert, 117 High Ridge Ct., in the parking lot of Waffle House on York Rd. An estimated $500 in damage was done to the Nissan, while the Buick sustained an estimated $300 in damage.
Sheriff’s office requesting help The Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the assistance of the public in identifying an individual who stole from a local car sales business. On Thursday, Aug. 27, Kings Mountain Auto Brokers, located on E. Dixon Blvd, just outside of Kings Mountain, was victim to a
motor vehicle breaking and entering and theft. Video surveillance showing the crime indicates that an unidentified white male operating a 2-door dark colored Ford Explorer opened the trunk of the vehicle and stole items from within. The Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office would like
