Waterpower is a licensed electricity provider regulated by the Commission for Energy Regulation.

Waterpower works across three tiers of business – electricity supply, electricity generation and consultancy for renewable energy projects and energy management.

As a licensed provider, we are also in a position to purchase excess electricity from ‘auto-producers’ i.e. those that generate their own power from Hydro, Wind, CHP and Solar to feed into the network. For example, at present, we purchase excess electricity from Munster Joinery, Ballyartella Woollen Mills, Nenagh and Cork Water Works.

Electricity Supply Waterpower supplies discounted electricity to some 30,000 commercial and private customers. As a licensed provider of electricity, we offer competitive rates to residential and commercial customers. Call us today to see what we can offer you.

We offer our commercial customers direct access to the wholesale electricity market through our ‘Tracker’ or ‘Time of Use’ (ToU) price model. This model tracks the market price and can therefore offer significant savings over fixed rate tariffs*. *management fee and pass through charges apply.

Waterpower has been involved in the development of in excess of 25 hydro-electricity stations across Ireland. We work closely with clients wishing to build from the ground up and also for those wishing to retrofit an existing site. At present we are working with stations (200kW – 450kW) in Kerry, Clare, Mayo, Cork and Kilkenny. With over 20 years proven experience in hydro projects, Waterpower can rise to the challenge of any hydro-project large or small.

Consultancy Waterpower offers a wide range of consultancy services for both renewable and environmental projects.
