A FESTIVAL OF SCOTLAND ON SCREEN. CELEBRATING SCOTTISH CULTURE AND HERITAGE. THE BEST OF SCOTTISH SCENERY, TALENT AND CREATIVITY FROM THE PAST 50 YEARS.
Welcome everyone to our third Inverclyde Film Festival hosted at the Waterfront Cinema in Greenock. Following the success of 2023, we are back with a festival of Scotland on screen. Celebrating Scottish culture and heritage with the best of Scottish scenery, talent and creativity from the past 50 years.
Festival lead Carys Knox says "Reflecting on IFF23 we saw many fantastic films bring new audiences, so it was only natural that I worked on maintaining a space for those customers after our general manager John left us last year to emigrate to Australia. I hope that this year will be just as successful in showcasing the talent in front of and behind the camera and highlights the variety of content out there."
Whether you are looking for a big-screen classic or a new title, a day out for the family or an archive film we have you covered. Why not use our festival to try something new, and support local filmmakers and the team here at IFF24? We’d love to see you.

Over the past few years alon Scotland has featured in some of th most successful titles to hit screen across the world. Most recent Edinburgh was the backdrop f Netflix’s series One Day which had 9 million views in a 7-day perio Indiana Jones took over the streets of Glasgow City Centre for his latest adventure and superheroes paid us a visit with both The Flash and The Batman spending time in and around Glasgow.
Whilst these titles are wonderful and much loved there is a need and a appetite for homegrown films. Following the success of the critically acclaimed Aftersun we’ve seen many titles receive recognition such as Out of the Darkness, Tish, Silent Roar, T Outrun, and My Old School previou screenedatIFF23.
It is crucial that we continue support Scottish projects, both la and small just as much as we supp the cinemas these films will one da be shown in. Hopefully, Inverclyd Film Festival can introduce you t titles you may have not known ar out there and provide you with opportunitytowatchthemontheb screen.
