What is Moodle?
Moodle is a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) utilised in WIT to support lecturers and students in creating effective online learning communities.
Who can access Moodle?
I can log into Moodle but cannot see all my modules (or I have too many modules). What do I do?
If you are missing modules, please contact registration@wit.ie to have your registration checked. If you have too many modules please send an email to moodle@wit.ie and we will check your details and remove any additional modules.
Can I change my profile picture?
All WIT staff and registered students, using the same user-name and password used for logging onto computers in WIT, can access Moodle both on campus and externally once they have access to the Internet.
Yes, you can! Click on your name beside login, click edit at the top of the screen, scroll down to upload a photo, browse for a photo and upload.

Yes, your lecturers can see details (time and date) of when you accessed their module/s area in Moodle.
How do I access Moodle?
I have forgotten my password for Moodle.
The password that you use to log into Moodle is the same as the password that you use to log onto computers in WIT. If your password has expired or you have forgotten your password and would like to reset it, please click on the “Reset Password” and follow the prompts.
How do I access my modules in Moodle?
Once you log into Moodle, you will see a Quick Module Access section in the centre of your screen which gives you an option to access either your registered modules or support modules in drop down menus.

Can I change my email address in Moodle?
Moodle can be used to forward information to your email account (for example, news updates, messages, etc). The email address that is in your profile area in Moodle should be an email account that you access regularly. By default, your email address is set to be your student email address (e.g. 92845444@mail.wit.ie). However, you can change this email address.
