SAFETY
All our bulls are selected on good temperament and are quiet to handle under normal conditions. On sale day, many people enter bull pens for inspections and hense place extraordinary pressure on the bulls. This could result in the quietest bull doing something unpredictable we advise people enter the bull pens at their own risk and only when necessary. No children are to enter the bull pens.
Do not loiter inside the pens unnecessarily if you require guidance through the bulls ask a stud representative or the selling agents.

SALE INFORMATION
Inspection
Bulls will be penned for inspections from 9am on day of sale. Anyone wishing to walk through bulls Tuesday afternoon is welcome –just notify Neil Watson on 0427 670 267.
Intending Buyers
Selling agents will be operating the bid card system. Prospective purchasers will be required to register prior to the commencement of the sale.
Health
All sale bulls will be vaccinated with 7 in 1, Lepto and Vibrio; will be from Brucellosis provisionally free herds or areas, as well as being JBAS score 6 herd.
Insurance
Representatives will be in attendance on sale day. We recommend you insure your purchases from the fall of the hammer.
Delivery
Please remember to fill out your instructions sheet clearly and advise the selling agent.
Transport
Transport operators will be in attendance on sale day. The selling agents and vendors will assist you in the most efficient way to deliver your new bull.
Scanning
All sale lots will be scanned by Lonnie Stone. He will independently measure scrotal circumference, EMA, IMF, rib and rump fat.
Semen Tests
All sale lots will be semen tested by Geoff Steinbeck, Excel Genetics.
Breeding Guarantee
The vendors guarantee, in the unlikely event of infertility, that the purchase price (without expenses, interest costs and damages) shall be refunded if the bull proves to be totally infertile or totally incapable of natural service; provided it is not caused by injury or disease contracted since leaving the sale.
If a bull does not possess a reasonable fertility, although not totally infertile, any claim shall be considered on its merits by the vendor. Any complaint must be lodged with a relevant veterinary certificate within 6 months of the date of the sale. Bulls that are run in a multiple joined environment are not guaranteed by the vendors for breakdown or injury.
Outside Agent Rebate
The vendors agree to pay 5% rebate to outside agents who introduce buyers in writing to the vendors (santaco1@ bigpond.com) no later than
24 hours prior to the sale, accompanying to the sale and making full settlement no later than 7 days from the date of sale.
NO rebate will be paid on bulls purchased by Santa Gertrudis association members or on female offering

HOW IT ALL STARTED
Developed in the early 90’s by Mr Rob McKinlay “Austral Park” Arcadia Valley Queensland. Nearly the entire herd was purchased by my parents, Neil and Rosalie, hence their commencement of Watasanta Black Santas. Now trading as Black Santa Cattle Company.
These black magestic cattle have been run and operated purely as a top end commercial herd with seed stock breeding principles applied. The black poll santa was bred from putting black santa bulls over
black santa females for nearly 20 years, stabilizing the type of animal genetically. We are aiming for homozygous black poll herd
The Black Santa combine the best attributes of both breeds - the dominate black and poll genes of the Angus and the slick coat and good skin type of the Santa Gertrudis, with the weight gain and hardiness of the Santa Gertrudis.
