APNA GHAR -Apna Ghar is a human rights organization working to end gender violence with an evidence-based model.

Since 1990, they have reached more than 100,000 survivors and community members across the region. By providing emergency housing, transitional housing, counseling services, social services advocacy, legal services advocacy, and more, Apna Ghar continues to provide critical, comprehensive, and culturally competent services to those in need.

Dalit History Month Although Dalit History Month is a step into celebrating and commemorating Dalit voices on a larger scale, embed anti-caste education in your intersectional activist work year-round!

- Within the socially constructed system of caste, Bahujan (meaning: majority) voices are comprised of Dalits, Adivasis (Indigenous community), and other oppressed caste groups - see the above graphic - Dalit History Month, inspired by Black History Month, was organized by a team of six activists (Vee Karunakaran, Christina Thomas Dhanaraj, Asha Kowtal, Sanghapali Aruna, Manisha Devi and Thenmozhi Soundararajan) in 2015 - In mainstream media, histories and stories about Dalit resistance have been repeatedly marginalized and sidelined - Dalit History Month seeks to center Dalit voices in South Asian History
