Introduction to Warwick Arts Centre

Warwick Arts Centre is a multi-space venue at the heart of the University of Warwick in Coventry, delivering a diverse and engaging programme of live performances, films, exhibitions, concerts, learning activities and more, in world-class venues and spaces.

Newly refurbished with a spacious foyer, a large concert hall, theatre, studios, three state-of-the-art cinemas, meeting rooms, two restaurants, bar and contemporary art space, the Mead Gallery.

We can make your dream event a reality so bring us your ideas and we can help make them happen.

Technical Specifications Terms & Conditions

Additional services we offer:

• Technical, Event Management, Marketing and Catering provisions: early discussion with Warwick Arts Centre is needed to secure these.

• Box Office: the hirer will be charged a 10% commission on tickets sold by Warwick Arts Centre. For the avoidance of doubt, where Warwick Arts Centre acts as a Ticketing Agent for the event, the hirer shall be responsible for accounting for VAT on ticket sales. This commission charge is in addition to credit card commission, and up to 5% PRS (if applicable), all plus VAT.

• Sale of Merchandise: a commission of up to 20% shall be payable for sales by Warwick Arts Centre of merchandise owned by the hirer.

• Cloakroom: is available upon request and subject to additional charge.

Where additional charges apply - such as for merchandise sales and technical equipment - the rates will be exclusive of VAT and determined by Warwick Arts Centre.

Any additional services will be subject to a written confirmation by Warwick Arts Centre. Services are not confirmed unless they are stated in the hire contract. All services will remain subject to availability.

Warwick Arts Centre is situated on the University of Warwick central campus, in Coventry. With close links to Coventry City Centre, Birmingham, Royal Leamington Spa and Stratford-Upon-Avon, we are easy to get to and well connected, making Warwick Arts Centre the perfect location for holding your event.

The Butterworth Hall is the largest venue at Warwick Arts Centre, it is a dynamic and versatile space, perfect for conferences, corporate events, live performance and exhibitions, with a capacity of up to 1340 guests.

The Hall has hosted the world’s finest orchestras and stars from the worlds of classical, popular and contemporary music, as well as big name comedy. We have hosted graduation events, celebration dinners, conferences and speeches and standing music gigs.

Our expert in-house technical, event management, and production teams are on hand to bring your vision to life and ensure a seamless experience.

As a state-of-the-art concert hall, it has a hydraulic stage (for up to 200 performers +195 choir stalls), brand new technical equipment, improved acoustics and full wheelchair access. This space is an inspiring setting to impress any audience.

PARKING AND UNLOADING

There are plenty of car parks available on campus which operate 24/7.

At the time of booking, please let us know the number and type of vehicles we can expect along with your arrival and departure times. Please also let us know if you plan to arrive by coach so we can arrange access to our coach park.

Accessible parking is free and available near Warwick Arts Centre. You can access this at the rear of Senate House, or on Health Centre Road.
