Valentines weekend was a buzz to roll with as all roads led to Hells Gate in Naivasha county for the 29 th Koroga Festival-Love Edition. Friday and Saturday were the two days chosen to celebrate love in a massive way. Since it is a family event, the Koroga team in partnership with the Naivasha Love Festival Team had lots of food, drinks, photobooth and huge sponsors like Tusker Malt,Jameson,Beefeater and Ballantine’s full of activities to keep people on their feet (including merchandise on sale from various vendors). The Djs,Mcs, and Hype man Gudah Man, DJ Adrian and Protégé,Miano Muchiri and his partner all did a great job at keeping the crowd’s energy levels very high as they played all kinds of infectious music mixes to warm them up for all performances.
Mike Rua opened the showfusing hiphop with Kikuyu music on his guitar accompanied by two other rappers which the Nakuru people really enjoyed.Chris Kaiga also did a surprise performance with his partner and it was good. Then Hart The Band gave the most outstanding performance ever seen on Kenyan soil, givinga hearty very emotional show that got the crowd chanting, singing, crying and dancing to all their songs which they had different rendtiions to played by the band fused with spoken word lyrics and even included a female singer and a saxophonist to make it more sentimental.I loved every bit of it for they put all their hearts, minds and souls into this performance.
