Tour Summary This tour offers wildlife viewing in Kaziranga National Park, visits to some of India’s tribal people, a fourday trek along the Seing River, and a voyage down one of India’s sacred rivers. Traditional life has changed little here and on our 4-day trek we meet Nishi, Apatani, Hill Miri and Tagin people and overnight in camp, or in a village house. Finally we take a ferry journey down the River Brahamputra. This trek is graded as challenging (see page 5). Tour Highlights Delhi – half-day tour of Old Delhi. Tour Summary This tour focuses on Kerala, one of the most fascinating states of southern India. We head inland from Kochi to undertake a 5-day trek among the hills of the Western Ghats, through lush green hill country. But this is a land not only of beautiful mountain scenery, but also of rolling tea plantations, and we will be sure to visit these too, as well as exploring caves, taking a jeep safari into a national park, visiting Kerala Kalamandalam art academy and looking for wildlife in Periyar Reserve. This trek is graded as moderate (see page 5). Tour Highlights Kochi – guided city tour. Wayanad – caves and tribal villages. Munnar – visit a tea plantation. Edakkal Caves – explore the cave system. Tribal village visits – meet local people. Kerala Kalamandalam art academy. Periyar National Park – nature treks. 5-day trek – hike the Western Ghats.
