How much walking is there on this trip?
NYC is an extremely walkable city, with access to multiple forms of transportation including subway trains, taxis, and ride share apps like Uber/Lyft. The Warwick hotel is located within walking distance of most theaters (10-20 minutes) and that is the recommended transportation method to/from most shows. WAC staff will lead guided group walks to/ from experiences that necessitate walking, which will be clearly communicated prior to departure. Those who prefer other forms of transportation throughout the week will be responsible for any associated costs; staff can assist with procuring taxis.
What shows will you be seeing?
Shows are selected in three stages:
1. Walton Arts Center’s Programming staff uses their professional insight to curate a list of high-caliber, can’t-miss performance recommendations for shows that have been announced.
2. This list of potential shows is narrowed based on the interests of travelers who have provided a deposit payment.
3. In January 2026, travelers will receive a final list of options to make their final selections for shows each day.
What does Walton Arts Center get out of this?
This experience is curated by Walton Arts Center staff as part of our commitment to enriching our community of generous supporters by connecting arts enthusiasts. The trip is offered solely for travelers’ enjoyment, with no additional profit involved. Designed with both seasoned and first-time NYC visitors in mind, priority access to the trip is reserved for Friends of Walton Arts Center who contribute $3,500 or more annually.
Can I pay in installments?
Yes! A 50% non-refundable deposit and completed commitment form are required to secure each traveler’s spot on the trip. Final payments are due February 27, 2026.
Is this trip refundable if something comes up?
If there is a waiting list, Walton Arts Center will seek someone who can travel in your place; if your spot can be filled by other patrons, you will receive a full refund.
If there is not a waiting list, a partial refund may be available upon request, and/or your payment may be redirected as a donation to Walton Arts Center.
Is this trip customizable?
Group excursions are thoughtfully planned in advance to offer the best experience for all travelers and cannot be changed. Each trip includes a full itinerary of activities and shows, all included in the package price, to ensure value for travelers. However, if there’s a show you’d rather see that’s not on the final list, Walton Arts Center may be able to secure tickets in place of another. Hotel upgrades may be made by contacting Warwick New York directly; additional costs are the traveler’s responsibility.
