H.E.A.R.T.S Veterans Museum Administrator Tara Burnett receives a framed copy of the Optimist Creed and a check from Huntsville Optimist Club President Joe Smith. By Wade Thibodeaux   The Huntsville Optimist Club recently made a donation to the H.E.A.R.T.S. Veterans Museum for the purpose of assisting with the procurement of the Vietnam Wall project that the museum is currently working on. The wall came to Huntsville several years ago as a traveling display of the Vietnam War and now the traveling wall has been retired and will

reside at the H.E.A.R.T.S. Veterans Museum in Huntsville. A down payment was made on the wall and an additional $175,000.00 was needed to acquire and install the wall on the grounds of the museum. The Veterans Museum has made great strides in finding the funding for this project, but more is needed and the Museum wishes to thank all of the donors, past, present, and future.

Huntsville Optimist Club President Joe Smith also presented Museum Administrator Tara Burnett with a framed copy of the Optimist Creed to be displayed in the museum. The Huntsville Optimist Club meets every Thursday at Noon at Denny’s and the H.E.A.R.T.S. Veterans Museum can be reached at 936.295.5959, their Facebook page, or info@heartsmuseum. com.
