ALEX SEGRETI ‘21

Alex was inducted into the Tri-M Music Honor Society at Merion Mercy Academy. She has performed in several productions at Merion Mercy, St. Joseph’s Prep and Upper Darby Summer Stage. This summer, Alex traveled to Ireland with fellow MMA students and led by Director of Admissions, Mrs. Eileen Killeen. In preparation for the trip, each of the 23 girls researched and presented a slide relating to tour sites, Irish history, and other fun facts on things they will learn on the trip.

Besides participating in: Winter Track, Spring Track, Jazz Ensemble, Student Council and being a member of the Speech and Debate team, Mason was the recipient of The Thomas Allerton Newhall Memorial Prize at The Haverford School. Following are some excerpts about the award and why Mason was chosen: “The recipient of the Thomas Allerton Newhall Memorial Prize is a natural leader, pure and simple. The elements are all there: decency, empathy, and unflappable goodwill. Even though he was new to the community this year, the recipient’s loyalty to Haverford is demonstrated not through a blind acceptance of the good and bad, but in his continual desire to improve the community.” “While some leaders shout their opinions, the recipient of this award leads by example.” We are proud of Mason and the leadership qualities he possesses. To quote Mason’s mother, Christine, “Waldron had him well prepared for high school!”
