LUKE GALLAGHER ‘19

This past June, Luke Gallagher studied at the School of the New York Times at Fordham University’s Lincoln Center campus in New York City. He was enrolled in the Writing the Big City: Reporting in New York course, which focused on what it means to be a journalist in today’s day and age. Luke learned from award-winning New York Times journalists, recognized industry professionals, and other talented students from around the world. Luke commented on his experiences saying, “My two weeks with the School of the New York Times taught me how much journalism has changed over recent years, yet how important it still is in telling the stories that our world depends on. Through the program, I was able to learn how I can improve my own high school paper, while also forming friendships and memories that will last a lifetime.”
