REAGAN WAGGONER ‘19

Reagan is a student at Archmere Academy. Reagan’s Kindergarten teacher had a tremendous impact on her. She suggested that Reagan try a sport that her older sister was not involved in. She thought Reagan was shy and needed confidence. Soon after, she started riding horses. Reagan quickly found herself riding every day and working hard to improve her skills. Reagan is thankful for the encouragement and support she received in pursuing her love of horses and has won numerous equestrian competitions. “I have the teachers and principal to thank for their continued support. Teachers knew I frequently was home late and missed school for competitions. They supported my occasional need to work ahead on my classwork so that I would not get behind. I will never forget traveling to Ohio to compete, I had to miss school and I returned with the news that I qualified for Pony Finals. I remember sharing my amazing news with my 8th grade teachers and principal. I am now excited to announce that I plan to continue my riding career in college while I also study Biology.”

Brendan was accepted into the University of Notre Dame’s prestigious Summer Scholars Program

“Making Headlines: A Practical Introduction to Journalism Online.” Brendan, who is the Sports Editor of the Hawkeye and an active member of the WSJP Student Broadcasting Club, is “excited to learn and practice journalism techniques such as interviewing and writing.”
