Lady in Waiting

Walden’s Photography
Located in the heart of Kentucky and surrounded by beautiful horse farms and bourbon distilleries, the Waldens found their place as part of the Lexington community as they continue to offer portrait work unlike any other.
Walden’s is a second-generation studio, started by Robert N. Walden, Tim’s father and mentor.

As a young, married couple, Tim and Beverly’s desire was to offer distinctive and excellent portraiture unlike what they saw in the marketplace.
And it is still their heart today. Imaginative. Aspirational. Uncommon.
As J. Peterman, a local legend says,
“I’ve always said that we took the road less traveled. I have a feeling that’s exactly why you and I found each other.”
BLACK AND WHITE portraiture
When we create a black and white portrait, we create something that is both abstract and real at the same time.

Emotions come through much stronger in black and white. There is nothing to distract the viewer. They discover their own story within the highlights and shadows.
Black and white photography is interpretive, mysterious, compelling.
It is perhaps this abstract quality that makes black and white images so intriguing and timeless.

COLOR STUDIES
For us, photography is more than just a skill or talent; it's our passion.
We love capturing moments and holding them still for future generations to enjoy.

In every glance, every movement, beauty can be found.
Going beyond what it LOOKS like, we strive to capture what it FEELS like.
Color Studies require intentionality. Color harmony of the clothing becomes tantamount. Details do matter.

BEAU VISAGE
mixed media paintings
“Painted portraits have a life of their own that comes from deep within the soul of the painter.”

Vision is the cornerstone of a Beau Visage painted piece and with each stroke of brush to canvas, this vision begins to take shape.
A little mystery. A sprinkle of fantasy.
Seeing the unseen and bringing it to life.
This is a Beau Visage painting.
