In addition students will get to see some of a selection of smaller, less well known sites: Oplontis, Stabiae, Cumae, Baia, Boscoreale.

The trip allows students to explore what life was like in and around the small provincial cities. Additionally, students who have been on this trip and go on to study GCSE Classical Civilisation will have visited many of the sites to be studied in the “Roman city life” component that makes up 50% of the course.
