CONCEPT
This project explores the concepts of doors and paths, drawing inspiration from Najdi heritage. Since it’s located in AlAwali District near Wadi Hanifa. These elements serve both functional and cultural purposes, creating a cohesive design. The doors symbolize transition and gateways, inviting visitors into a distinct realm.
Upon entering, visitors follow a curated path that reflects traditional Najdi architecture with linearity and clear axes. This design fosters order and guides exploration through various spaces while framing views of the valley and natural beauty.
The main gate leads to the pavilion, acting as a plaza with a primary view of the valley. An intersecting path connects different zones, allowing visitors to start in the entertainment area, explore the underground museum, or enjoy the restaurant and café sur rounded by greenery. The path also leads to the observatory, featuring framed views and telescopes, while a bridge connects to the camping area.
