Today’s quality is better than ever, thanks to advances in furniture and textile technology, such as sturdy synthetic wicker and weather-resistant, colorfast fabrics. 2. Be colorful. Outdoors, you have the opportunity to use stronger colors than you might be comfortable with indoors. Fuchsia cushions, anyone? That said, there’s nothing wrong with neutral, natural shades, such as sand, slate gray or beige. You can add pops of color with patterned accent pillows and accessories, the same as you’d do indoors. 3. Mix and match.
