The cozy eating area in the kitchen features a distressed wood table from Restoration Hardware, giving the room a look that’s “transitional but still homey,” says designer Yelena Gerts of House of Style & Design. The floors throughout the 4,500-squarefoot house were stained a dark walnut. “We used a lot of white in the house, and I wanted to have contrast,” says Gerts.
