It takes a good stockman and serious commitment to select and feed the animals to achieve the best results. It was also pleasing to see Angus cattle dominate as purebred and/or used in a cross-bred program to produce carcasses of such quality in these competitions. Angus breeder’s use of Breedplan, supported by a huge amount of historic and current data, has led to all round improvement of the breed in birth ease, growth, mothering ability, carcass qualities and phenotypical soundness.
