The goal for this project was to create a sustainable headquar ters fo r t h e Pre s e r v a t i o n o f t h e D e l a w a re R i v e r Wa t e r s h e d . T h e o f f i c e i s designed to promote collaboration as well as education. Impor tant considerations included sustainable design elements such as solar panels and rainwater collection systems .

This sustainable office design is an exploration of the natural phenomenon known as Tidal Bores . A tidal bore occurs along a coast where a river empties into an ocean or sea It occurs when a s trong tide pushes up the ri ver, a g a i n s t t h e c u r r e n t . I t i s a t r u e t i d a l w a v e .

The design is a living embodient of the actionreaction system that aoccurs during a tidal bore. The is exemplified with collision points throughout the floor plan.

The materials palette is vibrant yet refind to define space within the design. Each organization has their own designated colors for spatial planning.

02 Retail Project Sonorous

The purpose of the Retail Project is to create a store in New Hope Pennsyl vania that takes into consideration the demographics of the area as well as recent retail trends . Impor tant considerations included engaging the communit y in a unique way within the store to increase clientele. The examination of three -dimensional space spatial relationships throughout the three floor was essential

The retail store is an apothecar y based on the concept of sounwaves that take place during chants or healing mantras . The large wood structures reflect these soundwaves throughout the store and stretch to all three floors . The communit y is engaged through a sound bath meditation room on the second floor in which customers can take par t in healing and calming classes.

The color palette of sonorous reflects the natural materials that are used within. There is an overall warm tone to the colors that is aimed to embrace the clients upon stepping foot in the space.

There are deep pops of color that are offset by the natural tones . This contrast allows e a c h c o l o r t o b e a p p r e c i a t e d i n d i v i d u a l l y.

En g a g e m e n t w i l l be implemented through programs, classes, and events . In par tnership with the Thomas Jefferson Universit y Occupational Therapy Students .

The design and concept for connections is based on the four lobes of the brain. The lobes each have their own designated tasks which correlates to the spatial planning. The idea is to show how each piece of the brain works together much like generational education.

The goal of this project was to de si gn a smal l aud iology, med ical office. Understanding appropriate adjacencies for task zones and e ff icie nt wor k f low, ADA s tandard s e tc .

This audiology office displays conceptually the dissection o f a s o u n d wav e s a s i t re l a te s to t h e wa te r. Cu r v e d corners and walls show the softness and fluidit y of a s o u n d wav e a s i t i s a m p l i f i e d i n wa te r. T h e d e s i g n a l s o features a custom reception desk and logo design.
