Located on the second floor of an industrial area in Narre Warren –Victoria,thisprojectwasdevelopedfortheInteriorDesignercourseat theAustralianPacificCollege.Theclientrequestedadesignerproject forthecompany''WorkHere''whereaco-workingworkareashould be developed that met the criteria of sophistication and sustainability Theprojectmustbeaflexible,homelyandwelcoming work environment. A mix of private and shared areas has also been developed, so people can select how and where they work throughout the day. The materials needed to be highly durable and requirelowmaintenance.
Thelayoutwasdesignedtobeasimpleandintuitive flow Nexttothereception,wehavealockerarea,and then the rest area and kitchen, followed by a corridor directing the flow to the work and meeting rooms Among the workspaces, there's a designated area for printing and a hot desking area, allowing you to work wherever you prefer. The standout feature of the project is the green wall in the chill area, specifically designed for plant cultivation, making the space feel morecozyandrefreshing.
Theworkspaceshavebeendividedintothreesizes: small,medium,andlarge,allowingaccommodationfor groups of any size. Next to the main chill area, a workshop room has also been considered, which can also serve as a secondary meeting room. The chosen finishes are low-maintenance and environmentally friendly. The use of natural elements such as stone, timber, and plants is the project's focus to bring the senseofconnectionwithnature.

The design was carefully conceived by the architect to comfortably accommodate up to four judges and a few guests. Its glass façade and sliding doors not only facilitate efficient ventilation but also allow ample natural light to filter in. Additionally, there is a small smoking area on the sides, featuring a beautiful vertical garden. The colour scheme, incorporating shades of grey and red, was selected to mirror the club's colours and to make the structure a prominent design element,emphasizingitwiththestrikingredhue.
My role in this project, in addition to assisting the architect in developing the concept, was to translatetheideasanddesignintotechnicaldrawingsandpresentationsfortheclient.
