The program provides emergency shelter and transitional housing for adult victims of domestic abuse and their children. The services improve residents’ stability and self-sufficiency – core outcomes of the goal to stop terror in the home.

Community Services of Arizona's(CSA) Crisis Intervention programs provide homeless prevention service including financial assistance, HUD certified foreclose intervention services and emergency home repairs.

Family Services

The Family Services department assists individuals and families to access needed services in a crisis situation through the provision of emergency food boxes, direct cash assistance, and referrals to other community agencies.

The "Pathway to Hope" program will help chronically homeless adults and families who struggle with substance abuse and mental health problems. CBI will focus on immediate needs, crisis care, shelter/housing, and a continuum of supportive services. Community Legal Services, a non-profit law firm, provides civil legal services, including direct representation in court, to eligible, low-income Maricopa County residents to resolve their civil legal problems impacting their basic human needs.

Emergency Shelter

The LDRC provides a safe, engaging, holistic community that empowers people to end their homelessness and create positive, long-term life changes. We welcome and engage, inform and connect to services, and empower clients to end their homelessness. In addition to a safe place to stay, we offer: advocacy with individual and group sessions for women and children; employment services; legal assistance; children’s program including art, music and recreation; transportation; and, outreach.

Phoenix Indian Center (PIC) Project Transitions

HB provides transitional housing and a 12-24 comprehensive social services program including client-centered, case management; employment services; mental health services; subsidized childcare; access to emergency pantries; and life skills programs. This program provides immediate cash assistance to working families in crisis situations. Examples of crisis situations are eviction notices, utility disconnections, and lack of food.

Project Transitions' professional case management services address the immediate threats to individual and family household safety while promoting the development of customer skill sets that foster selfsufficiency and community well-being.

Promoting self sufficiency for homeless HIV+ individuals/families by providing supportive transitional 2-bedroom apartment housing (up to 2 years) in two Phoenix Shanti owned sites.

Elim House Domestic Violence Shelter

The CAP program assists low income Tempe residents and homeless individuals with a full range of basic needs that include: shelter, food pantry, homeless prevention assistance, weatherization, case management, and workforce development services. The Respite Shelter for Homeless Men is a temporary place of rest where nine homeless men may recuperate following their hospitalization for surgery, injury, or illness. We do provide case management to help guests follow up with medical problems. Elim House is an emergency shelter for women and children fleeing domestic violence. While staying at Elim House, families are provided with a safe place to live, three meals each day, and services needed to begin a new, independent, safe life.

St. Vincent de Paul's Ozanam Manor provides transitional shelter for elderly and disabled homeless adults with case management, mentoring and and group life-skill training activities to help participants obtain permanent housing and selfsufficiency. Housing and safe shelter for minors, runaway, homeless, and troubled youth. Programs also provide life-skills training, acculturation, counseling, case management, job development, tutoring and language development for youth ages 12 through 17. TCYD Drop-in Centers help abused and neglected youth ages 12 through 25 on the streets. Centers provide safe and nurturing respite for estranged youth, including former foster care, runaways, homeless, truant, or in other personal turmoil.

YAP and START provide subsidized housing and services to vulnerable and homeless youth ages 16 through 25. Youth receive a safe living environment, life-skills training, counseling and job development to transition into permanent housing.

This program provides emergency (120 days) and transitional (up to 24 months) shelter for homeless women, men and children. It houses nearly 500 men, women and children nightly – 60% of whom are children age 0-15.
