The house is located in an inner city suburb, defined by small scaled traditional Queenslander residence. The client’s desire to have a modern home inserted into traditional context was a challenge and an opportunity. The priority in the design was to balance the flow of the floor area while maintaining the quality of the individual spaces.
The accommodation brief was responded to by a simple architectural form and materiality that are cohesive with the existing context. The design approach was to create a central space that connects all spaces and becomes a critical social gathering space.
Software used: Revit and Enscape
- Measured and modeled existing house.
- Worked closely under the director to prepare schematic design options and 3D renders for client reviews.
-Prepared town planning set for approval as the current site is in a character precinct.
- Currently working on construction documentation for the project.

Initially in 1930, the Cape Pallarenda quarantine station was built as a residence. Later in 1950, it was relocated and reused as a quarantine station.
The brief was to refurbish the building and reuse as an office building for Queensland parks and wildlife services. The type of building is significant and and demands us to be sensitive to the original structure, which presented us with compliance and design challenges.
The new design strategy facilitates the preservation of the uniqueness of the site by celebrating its past while identifying new addition with a significant contemporary approach. The new design creates a flow in the space to accommodate the new use of the building.
Software used: Revit and Enscape
- Tasked to set up and record the fortnight client and consultant design discussion meetings.
- Measured and modeled existing building to precision due to sensitivity of the project.
- Thoroughly researched the heritage significance of structural elements on the site.
- Prepared Design documentation set under the guidance of the project architect.
- Liaisoned with the consultants and the state government (QPWS).
- Prepared 3D renders and walkthroughs for the project.

The brief was to restructure the existing tenancy to accommodate the new office of the real estate agency. The company Directors identified the need to create a new workplace that exemplified their high quality service, professional approach, and attention to detail. Thus, the flow and connectivity were significant in the design brief.
The design response was to create a contemporary space to elevate the building to a modern workplace with quality finishes and the latest technology. The brief is achieved by creating flexible and collaborative work areas while maintaining visual and flowing circulative connections. The curves denote playfulness in the fit-out by creating unique breakout spaces; open for interpretation.
- Key decision maker in the design outcomes, reviewed by the director.
- Modeled existing tenancy.
- Prepared schematic design options for the new proposal.
- Prepared 3D renders and walkthroughs to convey design ideas to clients.
- Key point of contact to liaise with the client and maintain transparent correspondence.

The exhibition area is a semi-open space designed by taking reference lines from organic trails of the site. The structural elements of space and exhibition panel placements are also inspired by the contextual elements.
Cafeteria design engages with the surrounding area while ultimately opening up completely in the forest. The outcome of the cafeteria was simple where giving us the experience of dining in the forest.

The study area is designed by taking reference from the existing stonewall. The outcome shows that earthy furniture connects nature and a human on the sensory level of touch while space bounds humans and nature visually.
The design of the boardwalk was significant for the project as it was the only part of the structure that was taking into nature to create a journey toward the lighthouse.

The unit allowed us to analyze and redesign a portion of Melbourne City. The site was divided into strips that are perpendicular to Swanston Street. I was assigned to the strip which was passing through Elizabeth Street. The brief was to consider the proposal for an underground Metro station. Also, we had to propose a 12.8 % increase in residential and a 10% increase in the commercial area. After analyzing the site, I concluded that the area needs spaces that can act as a gateway from city life for a short period.
Software Uesd: AutoCAD & Photoshop
The given strip was flourished with a lot of activities. I observed that spending time there can be overwhelming. Thus, I decided to develop my site oriented to find spaces of solitude in the existing and proposed urban fabric.

Considering the site demographic, I have proposed a dedicated study area central to the proposed dormitory. It is a flexible and interactive studio space that allows students to practice different study methods. The infrastructure and green screen on the facade influence a person’s mind and visuals.
It strictly manages pedestrian traffic on the ground. The bridges will be directly connected to the proposed underground metro station.
Central Study Space
The strip lacks enough spaces for hospitality and recreation. The second bridge is dedicated to hospitality.
The night bridge is to experience the city from 90m at night and to explore the sky.
