How do you see the market today in regards to people management strategies in retail? The idea that managing people in ventures or retail units is simple is one of the reasons for failure in undertakings at the segment. There are variables that must be taken into account when recruiting and selecting retail professionals. There is a lack of qualification, inclusive in the retail field. Are there any specific characteristics of such public which values this qualification of your teams’ management? What are the most sought services per each audience? As surprising as it may be, I can affirm with certainty that there is no longer a specific audience or characteristic of those seeking specialized retail services. A few years ago, they predominated as

customers of the large groups segment, but today it is common to support small and medium size companies. What are the challenges faced in regards to employee management in retail? There is the issue of low salaries, of exhausting workdays, and low qualification of people working at the sector. For many people working in retail, this is their first professional experience and, for many occasions, only a pathway to another job in another segment. Considering that 90% of the retail workforce is made up of young people from the so called Y Generation, which value quality of life and fast ascent, the turnover rate come to be exorbitant, around 40%. One of our customers, for example, sought us with a better structured selection process. We were able to reduce the turnover rate to a monthly average inferior to 10%.
