The Links Golf Pilgrimage

Voyages.golf has a long and trusted association with The Open Championship. When The R&A introduced its new Authorised Provider Programme for the 148th Open at Royal Portrush in 2019, we were among the select companies chosen to be part of it. That appointment recognised our ability to deliver authentic, well-crafted experiences that connect golf travellers directly with the excitement of The Open.

In the years since, Voyages.golf has grown into an independent company, continuing to focus on luxury golf travel with a personal touch. In 2024, we were once again appointed as an official Authorised Provider — a proud milestone that reaffirmed our position as a trusted partner of The Open Experiences. This status allows us to offer fans official ticket and travel packages, ensuring peace of mind, seamless service, and unforgettable moments at golf’s oldest Major Championship.

““

Once again, Voyages Golf provided us with the trip of a lifetime. This is our 5th trip with this great team, who created a seamless and stressless South African golf adventure. Every detail was covered and our only complaint is that we had to come home. The golf courses, the accomodation, the food, the touring group, the tour guides, the on-ground transfers were outstanding, leaving us with life-time memories. Thank you Harry, Glenn & Gayle - you were beyond amazing.

Destination Golf at its finest

Brora Golf Club

Brora is Highland golf in its purest form. Designed by James Braid in 1923, it’s a rugged, windswept links where sheep still graze and electric fences guard the greens. The layout is straightforward but never simple, with strategic angles, firm turf, and uninterrupted sea views. It’s a course that connects you to the origins of the game and offers a peaceful, unfiltered golf experience.

Royal Dornoch Golf Club

Royal Dornoch is one of the most revered courses in the world. With its natural contours, fast-running fairways, and elevated greens, it offers a thrilling test of links golf in a setting of raw coastal beauty.

Founded in 1877, the course inspired the work of Donald Ross and continues to enchant golfers with its rhythm, elegance, and atmosphere. It’s a pilgrimage course—remote, majestic, and unforgettable.

Dundonald Links

Dundonald Links is a rising star on the Ayrshire coast, having hosted the Scottish Open and Final Qualifying for The Open. Designed by Kyle Phillips, it’s a modern links with strategic bunkering, undulating fairways, and bold green complexes. The course delivers a contemporary challenge while staying true to classic coastal traditions. Beware the devil’s cauldron bunker!

Prestwick Golf Club

Prestwick is where The Open Championship began in 1860— and its eccentric layout still tells the story of golf’s early days. From blind drives and railway sleepers to the devilish “Himalayas” bunker, it’s a course full of quirks, charm, and unforgettable holes. Every round here feels like a walk through golfing history, on a course that celebrates tradition and individuality.

Royal Troon Golf Club

Royal Troon is a true Open Championship venue, with a fierce reputation and a links layout that tests every club in the bag. The front nine tempts with scoring chances, while the back nine demands precision under pressure. Home to the iconic “Postage Stamp” par-3 and the windswept challenge of the inward half, Troon is a bold and brilliant course that rewards patience and control.

Royal Lytham & St Annes

Royal Lytham & St Annes is one of the most demanding courses on The Open rota. Tightly bunkered and framed by red-brick buildings, it’s a strategic examination that favours accuracy and course management. Since 1926, it has hosted eleven Open Championships, with winners ranging from Bobby Jones to Ernie Els. It’s a stern, cerebral course that commands respect from the first tee.
