At Voxalis Opera, collaboration is at the heart of everything we do - from the intimate connection between a singer and a pianist to the grand partnerships with festivals and arts organisations. In 2025, we place collaboration at the forefront of our mission, underscoring its importance in fostering a sense of community.
This year, we have embraced the noble task of showing that while we can achieve great things alone, together, we can accomplish so much more It’s not about competing but complementingbuilding an ecosystem where our unique contributions harmoniously merge with Brisbane's vibrant arts industry. Our shared love for opera is the common thread that fuels our collective ambition for more opera in this city.
We are thrilled to partner with organisations that, just four years ago, we could only have dreamed of collaborating with. A heartfelt thank you to Southern Cross Soloists, Opera Queensland, 4MBS Classic FM, St. Andrew’s Uniting Church, The Old Museum Building, FourthWall Arts, the Queensland Art Song Festival and the Tyalgum Music Festival, for your openness and shared vision to create beautiful music together A special acknowledgment goes to Brisbane City Council, whose steadfast support has been vital to Voxalis Opera since our very first year To our individual donors, attendees, advocates, artists, and volunteers - thank you for making every performance possible.
This season, we present a repertoire that delves into the chromaticism of the human soul - what is to be a human. Each concert is a journey into humanity in all its complexity - the light and the dark, the joys and the struggles Our carefully curated performances reflect the richness and depth of human experience, offering something for every listener
Finally, we invite you to support Voxalis Opera Whether by attending a concert, spreading the word, or donating to our fundraiser campaign, every contribution plays a crucial role in sustaining this project. Every cent goes directly toward producing performances which subsequently translates into professional opportunities for the wide pool of artists located in Brisbane. Together, we can continue to build something extraordinary.

Since its founding in 2021 by Brisbane-based musicians Camilo Lopez and Matthew Schwarz, Voxalis Opera has become a vital force in Brisbane’s cultural landscape. In just a few years, we have delivered three dynamic seasons featuring full operas, recitals, opera galas, regional tours, and masterclasses. At our core, we remain committed to nurturing local talent especially emerging artists while diversifying Brisbane’s operatic offerings
As production and living costs rise, we face increasing challenges Despite the generous support of the Brisbane City Council and private donors, Voxalis relies heavily on ticket sales to bring our programs to life. Planning for the future has become increasingly risky without additional resources.
That’s where you come in
Your tax-deductible donation, no matter the size, can make a profound impact on the future of Voxalis Opera. Funds raised through our Australian Cultural Fund campaign will directly support our rising production costs, enabling us to create inclusive, high-quality performances throughout the year.
By donating, you ’ re not just supporting opera, you ’ re empowering local artists, strengthening Brisbane’s cultural fabric, and ensuring the continuation of this project, admired by many audience members and local artists.
Together, we can achieve extraordinary things.
