engage DUURZAAM ACTIEPLAN / SUSTAINABILITY ACTION PLAN
Waar een krachtige golf van solidariteit nog het antwoord was tijdens het eerste jaar van de pandemie, gleed de samenleving in 2021 richting polarisatie en individualisering af. Niet focussen op de verschillen voelde aan als een daad van verzet. En toch is dat wat Voo?uit bleef doen: mensen samenbrengen en ons engagement voor een duurzame en ecologische samenleving concretiseren. nl
nl ‘We Are the Revolution’ (naar Joseph Beuys’ beroemde print) is het motto van ons Duurzaam Actieplan, uitgewerkt door de volledige Voo?uit-ploeg i.s.m. kunstenaars SIMON ALLEMEERSCH, GOSIE VERVLOESSEM en BENJAMIN VERDONCK. Daarin staan actiepunten uitgewerkt rond voedsel, mobiliteit, gebouw, energieverbruik, waterbeheer, luchtemissie en aankoop- en materialenbeleid. Het werd in januari gelanceerd tijdens het online festival NO TIME TO WASTE met GRACE NDIRITU, AMANDA PIÑA, MARIA LUCIA CRUZ CORREIA, PAUL VERHAEGHE, ANNELEEN KENNIS, VALENTINA TÓTH, SOFIE DUMONT, REBEKKA DE WIT, STEVEN VROMMAN, MOYA DE FEYTER en MAHLU MERTENS. Hiervoor werkten we samen met Kunstenpunt, Reshape, State of the Arts, Greentrack, Pulse, Apache en Youth for Climate. Our Sustainability Action Plan contains several action items: food, mobility, monument, energy consumption, water management, air emissions, and purchasing and material policy. It was launched in January during the online festival NO TIME TO WASTE together with GRACE NDIRITU, AMANDA PIÑA, MARIA LUCIA CRUZ CORREIA, PAUL VERHAEGHE, ANNELEEN KENNIS, VALENTINA TÓTH, SOFIE DUMONT, REBEKKA DE WIT, STEVEN VROMMAN, MOYA DE FEYTER and MAHLU MERTENS. The first year of the pandemic, Covid-19 gave rise to a powerful wave of solidarity. In 2021, however, the opposite happened: there was a spread of political polarization and individualism. Not focussing on human differences felt like an act of resistance. Yet, that’s what Voo?uit kept on doing: bringing people together and working towards environmental sustainability. eng
