The instructions and requirements (Bid Package) governing this procurement process, and other pertinent documents, may be obtained on business days beginning Thursday, November 15, 2012 until Thursday, November 29, 2012, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 m., and from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the Office of the Municipal Secretary, located at the first floor, City Hall, José Julián Acosta and De Diego Streets, Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. All deposit shall be non-refundable, and shall be in cash, money order or certified check payable to Municipality of Guaynabo, in the amount of $25.00 for one set, per interested bidder-contractor at said Office. For any additional information, you may contact us via e-mail at secretariamunicipal@guaynabocity.gov.pr All interested firms are hereby invited to a PRE-BID MEETING and SITE VISIT to be held in the Bids Board Room of Municipal Secretary, located at the first floor, City Hall, José Julián Acosta and De Diego Streets, Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. Attendance is not mandatory, but we encourage respondents to participate in the Pre-Bid meeting. All bidders shall be qualified to obtain and submit a Bid Guarantee equivalent to five percent (5%) of the bid, valid for ninety (90) days, in the form of a certified check, a bank draft, or a US Government Bond at par value, or bond from an approved insurance company that appears in the Federal Register (Treasury Listed) Circular 570 and authorized to do business in the Government of Puerto Rico Bids submitted after the date and time indicated above, as established by the Municipality of Guaynabo, shall be recorded as late bid and retained unopened in the contract fill. All bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud, at the abovementioned address. The Autonomous Municipality of Guaynabo will not be liable for any claims, loss, damages or respondent cost resulting from this invitation for bids. Awarded bidder shall comply with Davis-Bacon Act (40 U.S.C.276a to 276a-7) as supplemented by Department of Labor Reg. (29 CFR Part 5). No bid should be withdrawn for a period of 90 days subsequent to opening date of the proposals without the consent of the PRPHA
