As your child prepares for the exciting transition to high school, we at Covina-Valley Unified School District (C-VUSD) want to introduce you to our three exceptional comprehensive high schools: Covina, Northview, and South Hills high schools. Each school boasts a unique environment and academic focus, ensuring there’s a perfect fit for every student. In Covina-Valley Unified, we offer over 24 award winning Career Technical Education (CTE) Pathways. CTE courses are a great way for your child to explore their unlimited potential. Our high school students can also attend our Trade Tech Academy to take classes in Welding, Metal Fabrication, Electrician, Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning (HVAC), Court Reporting, and other skilled trades. Covina High School (CHS): Known for its rich history and strong traditions, CHS offers a well-rounded academic program focusing on college preparatory courses, including a robust Dual Enrollment Program with 17 community college courses spanning a wide range of academic areas. CHS is also home to a Golden Bell award-winning Agricultural Program, an Engineering Program, and an Aviation Program.
Northview High School (NHS): NHS fosters a vibrant and inclusive school community that prioritizes a robust academic foundation while offering a variety of electives in performing arts, and visual arts. Students at NHS can earn the prestigious AP Capstone Diploma. Their Golden Bell



award-winning Fine Arts, Media, and Entertainment (FAME) Program prepares students for college and work in the Media and Entertainment sector.
South Hills High School (SHHS): SHHS provides a personalized learning experience with a dedicated staff that focuses on maximizing student potential through innovative instruction and a strong emphasis on preparing students for college and career paths. SHHS is known for its International Baccalaureate Diploma Program, Business Enterprise Program, Culinary Arts Program, and Golden Bell award-winning Health and Wellness Center.
We recognize that choosing the right high school is a crucial decision. By exploring these resources and contacting the high schools with any questions, you’ll be well-equipped to guide your child toward the perfect academic environment for their success.
Although students are assigned to a designated school zone, they may apply to transfer to any C-VUSD high school contingent on space availability. Please contact your school office if you are interested in beginning the transfer process.

Covina High School encourages students to challenge themselves academically by enrolling in one of our many Early College Program courses through Mt. San Antonio College. Within this program, our students earn both high school and college credit. Students can also take advantage of the Advanced Placement courses offered at Covina High School.
We also help students cultivate industry skills by participating in one of our incredible Career Technical Education (CTE) pathways, including a hands-on Agriscience Pathway, an Engineering Pathway with a partnership with Project Lead the Way, a Medical Pathway, a Theater Arts pathway, and our new Aviation pathway.
