For 25 years, Volunteer Lawyers for Justice (VLJ) has ensured that poverty is not a barrier to justice. As New Jersey’s leader in pro bono services, we help those with unmet civil legal needs parents and children facing eviction, veterans burdened by debt, survivors of human trafficking, and others confronting complex legal battles have a fighting chance at justice.
Today, our mission faces a critical turning point. While the need for civil legal aid is rising, traditional funding landscapes are shifting Despite being a primary tool for breaking cycles of poverty, legal aid remains the least-funded human service in the country. We need your partnership to bridge this gap.
