A project redesigning the Ponderosa Annex A that is located west of West Mall at the University of British Columbia. The project delves into the relationship of interior and exterior of the site and explores the spatial and visual experience. It functions as a medium that balances the tranquility and calmness of the courtyard with the active circulation of the intersection from West Mall. The design accentuates the original landform of its site with a twist on the roof that softens the confinement of indoor and outdoor spaces, whilst within the building quiet and secluded spaces remain for selected programmes.

Encore reclaims the sense of place for the community by replacing the existing pedestrian bridge that actively serves as a connection between Hadley Park, Pearl-Cohn High School, HBCUs, and Jefferson Street in the city of Tennessee of the United States of America. This educational and cultural hub reunifies fragmented communities by providing healing from past mistakes, addressing the needs of the present, and projecting needs for a sustainable community for the future of the neighbourhood.
