IT’S FAIR TO SAY THAT KINETIC IS THE BIGGEST CONFERENCE THE VIZION TEAM HAS EVER UNDERTAKEN.

The support from the industry has been jaw dropping. Sponsors, exhibitors, customers, delegates, suppliers are not just attending, they are going the extra mile on top of the extra mile.

All in support of the Vizion Network, the wider industry and each other, which should never be forgotten, of course I am sure we all hope it will be good for business as well, but this is more than that.

There is money you must spend and things you must do, then there is this, everyone involved is making a full on effort to make it a great couple of days everyone can enjoy.

We will not be going over and over Covid or Brexit, yes there are elements that need to be addressed, but we have built Kinetic to help with the next 3 years of change, not the previous 3 years of history.

WHEN DOES KINETIC START?

Doors open at 8.30am on both days. For those already checked in, the bar will open immediately after conference day one, heralding the start of a relaxed evening of networking and socialising. Food will be served at 18:30 on the evening of the 22nd to allow anyone who still needs to check in a little time to drop their bags off.

QUENTIN WILLSON IS A TV PRESENTER, MOTOR EXPERT AND AN EV AMBASSADOR. HE FIRST APPEARED AT OUR 2016 CONFERENCE - IGNITE. GIVEN THE CURRENT PUSH ON ALTERNATIVE FUEL TYPES AND SUSTAINABILITY, HE IS A PERFECT MATCH FOR KINETIC.

One of the UK’s best-known motoring faces, Quentin was a Top Gear presenter for over a decade, wrote and presented BBC2’s The Car’s The Star, started Channel 5’s Fifth Gear, created the Britain’s Worst Driver format (now shown in 14 international territories) and The Classic Car Show.

His knowledge on new, used, electric and classic cars is industry leading but he’s also a vocal campaigner on fuel prices and is co-founder of FairFuelUK - the UK’s most successful single issue lobby petition - that’s saved UK motorists £100 billion in fuel duty and VAT rises. A regular face in Westminster, Quentin lobbies ministers and MPs to get a better deal for Britain’s 40 million licence holders.

He’s written weekly columns for the Mirror and Sunday Mirror for 15 years, Classic Cars Magazine for nine years and writes for many other magazines and newspapers. He was awarded the Press Association Motoring Writer

of the year Award for his work to bring new car prices in the UK to the same level as Europe, saving British motorists £3 billion.

Quentin is also a campaigner for low emission and electric cars, working with the Government and Office of Low Emission Vehicles. He’s a patron of the Hydrogen Trust and judge for the £10 million Future UK EV Battery prize.

Quentin’s father – Professor H. B Willson – was a wartime Bletchley Park code breaker who was recruited from Cambridge University to the famous Hut 4 and became the first person to decode the Haglein encryption machine, the Italian equivalent of Enigma. His achievement is acknowledged to have had a ‘significant outcome’ on WW2. Quentin is also a BAFTA film judge.

The International Centre is the UK’s 6th largest convention centre and one of the premier venues in the UK, it is spacious with a flexible design and a proven track record for ease of use and successful events. Due to the size of Kinetic, we are using Arenas 1 and 2, with the evening networking event being held in the Ludlow suite.

BY CAR:

PLEASE HEAD TOWARDS GATE A , THE SECURITY GUARD WILL DIRECT YOU ONCE YOU ARRIVE.

FROM M6 SOUTHBOUND

Leave M6 at junction 12. Take A5 west for 1 mile to Gailey Island. Take first left on to A449. Travel 3 miles to M54 / J2. Travel west on M54 to J4. Take the second exit and follow signs to The International Centre.

FROM M6 NORTHBOUND

Join M54 at M6 / J10A. Travel west to M54 / J4. Take the second exit and follow signs to The International Centre. The venue is situated just over 2 miles from Junction 4.

FROM M6 ‘TOLL’ NORTHBOUND

Leave M6 Toll at junction T8. This equates to M6 / J11. Go straight ahead into A460 (Wolverhampton Road) towards Wolverhampton. After 2.4 miles access M54 / J1. Take the third exit off the roundabout onto M54 direction Telford. Travel west on M54 to J4. Take the second exit and follow signs to The International Centre. The venue is situated just over 2 miles from Junction 4.

APPROXIMATE DRIVE TIMES FROM:

Birmingham City Centre: 45 minutes

Manchester City Centre: 1 hour 30 minutes

Bristol City Centre: 1 hour 45 minutes

Leeds City Centre: 2 hours 15 minutes

BY AIR:

The International Centre is less than an hour by road from Birmingham International airport. There are also rail connections from Birmingham International Station.

BY RAIL:

There are regular services from Birmingham New Street, Wolverhampton and Shrewsbury.

The International Centre is situated just over a mile from Telford Central Station and is only two minutes drive by taxi. Alternatively, there is a regular bus service.
