key accomplsihments •

I provide strategic communication advice to the Senior Vice-President & Chief Information Officer, Directors of IM/IT and project leads of various regional/provincial or UHN IM/IT initiatives. Advice includes stakeholder mapping, developing engagement strategies, using appropriate communication tactics and leveraging communication channels to achieve desired business outcomes.

I revamped the IM/IT department’s internal newsletter to increase employee engagement (measured via click rate in email marketing software) by 115% over a four month period.

I successfully implemented a communication and change management strategy to encourage 1,400+ University Health Network clinicians to regularly use a regional clinical data repository (ConnectingGTA) into clinical practice.

As the communications and change management lead of the Palliative Care RM&R team, I successfully on-boarded 207 palliative care beds, across 14 organizations, in Toronto Central LHIN to an electronic referral application (RM&R). The team was recognized by the Canada Health Informatics Association, for the most successful implementation of an IT solution at healthcare organization(s) in 2014.

Developed a stakeholder engagement initiative, to identify operational gaps and implement mitigation strategies to improve user satisfaction with Toronto Central LHIN’s electronic referral application. Using a sample size of 1002 clinicians, the initiative tracked user satisfaction with 5 key performance indicators, across 80 health-service providers. Organizational satisfaction data was then used to facilitate dialogue with senior leadership to enhance the application performance. Mitigations include: revamped training documents to match application usage, developed customized communication distribution channels, recommended internal help desk best practices etc.

I co-organized the 2015 SIMS Conference and Innovation Challenge, attended by 250+ UHN staff (85% satisfaction).

I wrote content, developed graphics and designed layout for several specialized communication products, including but not limited to: announcements, abstracts, award nominations, benefits realization documents, briefing notes, backgrounders, brochures, booklets, eBlasts, infographics, newsletters, posters, promotional cards, PowerPoint presentation decks, social media outlets (Facebook, Twitter) thank you letters, websites, internet/intranet articles and speaking notes.
