Mein Name ist Vivien, ich bin 25 Jahre alt und plane, nächsten Sommer meine Masterthesis zu schreiben. Architektur fasziniert mich durch ihre Fähigkeit, Geschichten zu erzählen. Jedes Gebäude und jeder Raum hat seine eigene einzigartige Geschichte, die erst durch das Einströmen von Leben wirklich lebendig wird. Neben meiner Begeisterung für Architektur interessiere ich mich sehr für Kunst und Fotografie. Ich liebe es, architektonische Details und die besonderen Atmosphären der Orte, die ich besuche, einzufangen. Diese Interessen greifen für mich stark ineinander und bereichern sich gegenseitig.
Mein Interesse an Architektur und Fotografie wird durch meine Leidenschaft für das Reisen verstärkt. Reisen nach Asien und Südamerika haben meine kreative Vision erweitert und mir gezeigt, wie wichtig es ist, in einem globalisierten Umfeld immer wieder neu zu denken und zu gestalten. Architektur sollte über kulturelle Grenzen hinweg kommunizieren können, doch noch wertvoller ist es, von unterschiedlichen Kulturen zu lernen und sich neue Stile, Gestaltungsmittel und Entwurfsstrategien anzueignen.
Neben meinen Reisen hatte ich die Möglichkeit, durch einen Erasmusaufenthalt die Lehre und das Leben in Lissabon kennenzulernen. Dort entdeckte ich nicht nur die vielfältige Architektur der pulsierenden Stadt, sondern
auch die Rolle, die Architektur als Verbinder zwischen Kulturen und Traditionen spielt. Diese Erfahrung hat meinen Blick auf die kulturelle Vielfalt in der Architektur geprägt und meine Leidenschaft weiter verstärkt.
Was mich antreibt, ist die ständige Neugier auf das Unbekannte. Herausforderungen sind für mich nicht nur neue Aufgaben, sondern auch Möglichkeiten, über mich selbst hinauszuwachsen und meine bisherigen Fähigkeiten weiterzuentwickeln. Die Vielfalt der Geräusche in der Stadt und die Stille in der Natur inspirieren mich gleichermaßen zu neuen Ideen. Für mich sind spannende Gespräche und die Begegnung mit interessanten Menschen eine der wichtigsten Ereignisse eines lebenswerten Lebens.
Bereits nach meinem Bachelorstudium war es mir wichtig, die Arbeit und Prozesse im Büro kennenzulernen. Die enge Zusammenarbeit und der regelmäßige Austausch mit dem Team bereicherten meinen Arbeitsalltag. Durch die Erfahrungen in unterschiedlichen Büros konnte ich bereits viele Kenntnisse erlangen. Ich bin davon überzeugt, dass meine Leidenschaft, bisherigen Erfahrungen und internationale Perspektive einen Mehrwert für Ihr Team darstellen würden. Our architectural design for Rio Seco in Lisbon represents an innovative vision that aims to revitalize and transform the area into a vibrant sustainable community hub. Our central element is a multifunctional facility consisting of a modern library and café that serves as a cultural meeting place and social hub.
The heart of the design is carefully placed in the center of the community to create a harmonious connection between the different elements The library will not only be a place to share knowledge, but will also serve as a space that fosters creativity, community and education. The integration of a café will create a welcoming atmosphere that invites both local residents and visitors to linger and exchange ideas
Another key aspect of our concept is the generous green spaces that are carefully integrated into the urban design. These green spaces not only provide places for relaxation and recreation but also enable active leisure activities such as gardening or picnics This creates a sustainable environment that promotes the well-being of the community
Our residential components are tailored to the needs of different population groups Two residential areas consisting of different residential units offer modern living space for families and individuals In addition, we have integrated a student residence to provide young people with an inspiring and supportive environment that encourages their personal and academic development
At the other end of Rio Seco, we have placed a market that will serve as a magnet for locals and visitors. This market will not only offer fresh produce and local specialties, but will also act as a place of commerce and community This strategic placement of the market will help to revitalize the area and strengthen social and economic life.
Another important goal of our design is to redesign the streets to create a safe and pleasant environment for pedestrians and cyclists. The redesign of the street form is intended to slow traffic and promote road safety, making the streets vibrant, walkable spaces for the community
Overall, we strive to make Rio Seco a vibrant and sustainable neighborhood that meets the needs of residents strengthens the community and creates an inspiring environment for all.

HOW DO WE DEAL WITH THESE PROBLEMS?
The example of this core center shows that we have found a solution for the individual problem of the area East and west no longer coexist a connection has now been created as you can reach the east through the library It extends upwards and is open to the public The observation tower which is located next to the library connects distant points with each other cristo for example is visible from here The residential area is somewhat loosened up so that there is a semi-public center in the middle Above all, the green park ensures that downstairs and upstairs are connected and community areas are created

LIBRARY AND VIEWPOINT

The library in Rio Seco is more than just a place to exchange knowledge; it is the heart of our architectural vision The building is designed to create a harmonious connection with the observation tower which is an outstanding spatial feature It provides an urban connection to Cristo Rei
The library extends over three floors and is surrounded by generous green spaces creating a peaceful oasis in the middle of the previous speedway A particularly striking feature is the accessible roof structure which can be reached via an external staircase that wraps around the building like a sculpture This staircase not only provides functional access but also becomes an aesthetic element in itself, taking visitors on a journey through and onto the building
The roof terraces, open to the public, offer beautiful views of Rio Seco and its surroundings On warm days, they invite you to read and enjoy the architecture in these surroundings The walkable structure makes the library a link between the lower and upper parts of Rio Seco, creating an organic connection between the different levels of the site
This architectural design aims to create not only a functional building, but also a place of encounter education and inspiration The library with the observation tower will become a symbol of the connection between culture nature and community in Rio Seco

RESIDENTIAL LANDSCAPE
THE CARPET –MODERN HOUSING
Our concept is based on drawing a pattern like a carpet over the existing plot The carpet is made up of four modules placed next to each other to form the main building This creates a private inner courtyard in the middle
The individual modules consist of a living space that is divided into different floors, with full and half floors that create an air space
The fact that the individual complexes adjoin each other creates window areas that protect the residents' privacy This is particularly important in private spaces
Each module consists of two to three floors and an open floor plan that residents can design themselves The flexibility makes this living space suitable for everyone for larger families who can combine individual cubes, as well as for singles and couples The stairs are open to the public and there are also more public community areas in less private courtyards that are slightly larger
The building is accessible from all sides, which benefits the residents By playing with the shapes interesting corridors are created and a unique living and experience space is created for new residents
This approach is taken up again at another location to create a connection between the two
It was also important for us to create a connection to the lower part of Rio Seco
The residential complexes are physically connected to the library and can be reached by foot from below There is also a green space between the two, which connects the apartments with the library and invites people to linger
