Welcome to ViTAL, Northeastern's healthcare nnovation core. We are an interdisciplinary organization that aims to inspire innovation, ntrepreneurship, and exploration of non raditional paths in healthcare. Students have the opportunity to come together with their shared nterest in healthcare, growing their knowledge nd network. The name 'ViTAL' embodies our mission: to empower the 'i', the impact each individual can make in healthcare. Our events include speaker panels, workshops, and collaborations with other Northeastern organizations. Students from all academic backgrounds have the opportunity to develop their professional skills, participate in volunteering around the Boston area, network with prominent figures in healthcare, and connect with other members in the ViTAL community. We also promote education of various healthcare topics through Medium articles and our podcast, as well as offer the opportunity to practice these skills through our consulting team, ViTAL Ventures Consulting (VVC), and our annual case competition, Husky Health Innovation Challenge (HHIC). ViTAL is an interdisciplinary collaborative of Northeastern University students from all academic backgrounds united around healthcare innovation, growing together to develop in knowledge, connections, and skills outside of the classroom.

Community Service Events This semester our members had the opportunity to volunteer with Greater Boston Food Bank, Project Heal, and Fenway Cares through ViTAL! 3 Project HEAL We raised $636 in the fall for Project HEAL, an organization that works on helping to resolve barriers to eating disorder recovery/treatment. .. $636 Fenway Cares ...and $220 in the spring for Fenway Cares, a collective of Fenway based organizations that support the Fenway community by distributing free produce! $220 and with our community with our peers Coffee Chats enable members of ViTAL to make meaningful connections. This year, members were assigned a coffee chat biweekly, but were encouraged to reach out as often as they would like to get to know the entire team. This year, ViTAL piloted the ViTAL Inspire Program (VIP), our mentorship program for 1st and 2nd year students to be mentored by upperclassmen to help navigate their journey through ViTAL, Northeastern, and the healthcare realm. This year, there were a total of 28 pairings. Each semester, VIP held a series of meetings and workshops, from mentor-mentee meet-and-greets to resume reviews to interview preparations. In their meetings, mentees can discuss their professional goals and seek advice from their mentors. Ultimately, mentees are able to learn about themselves as well as the vast opportunities within the healthcare realm.

Tembo Health is a digital platform delivering 24/7 care to seniors, partnering with senior care centers, retirement homes, and nursing facilities. Each VVC team dedicated their time, knowledge, and effort into understanding the businesses and devising actionable recommendations for their clients! Northeastern | Impact Report 2021-22
WELT is a healthcare startup developing digital therapeutics. The organization analyzes digital biomarkers to manufacture personalized treatments for patients.
ViTAL
ViTAL Venture Consulting (VVC) is a student led pro bono consulting initiative that gives undergraduates the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and impact critical business decisions at startups and growth-stage companies. This year, VVC gained 7 associate consultants. Our engagement managers and associate consultants were split up into two teams and were each assigned one of two companies to work with, WELT and Tembo Health.
