QUARTER 3 RENDEZVOUS 2022-23 |

Area6 Chairperson’s Message

Dear Sparklers,

Before we know it, tadaaa it’s second half of the circling year! So many plans, so many ideas, all in action and oh so satisfying. A beautifully curated president’s visit which couldn’t have gone better, area 6 is shining and putting its best foot forward to complete the 22-23 circling year with a bang!

January started with an area 6 fellowship evening planned by fellowship convenors Cr.Lavin and Cr.Veda at Mirage where we got to meet some old friends and made some new friends too followed by some hectic activity towards practices for the area 6 mega fellowship event - Boogie woogie hosted by RT96/LC66. The event itself on 4th Feb was so grand and lots of fun with circles like VLC 41 participating for the first time ever and promising to do so in the future too as they had the best time practising and participating! February saw another very nice fellowship lunch where we all got together for a banana leaf lunch at Bangalore oota company. There was so much gup-chup and tamasha all afternoon which ended with a super fun national initiative for the area 6 “Melange” organised by our super LAPD area convenors Cr Nivedita and Cr Vaishnavi. In the month of March, some of the area 6 circlers got away to watch a fun Hindi movie at the swanky Rex theatre. I thank the fel con Cr.Veda for taking this initiative to fruition!

Some very meaningful joint area 6 projects were also executed this quarter, like Jan de Mooji by LC54 and flights of fantasy by LC136. Kudos to CPs Cr.Nishita and Cr.Shreya. The flights of fantasy was a joint area initiative with area 14 where we sponsored the blind girls cricket team to travel and take part in the national competition. I was so happy to have been a part of this.

Come end of Feb, there was a tangible fever of president’s visit in Area 6 and all the CPs and their teams were working extra hard to ensure it goes off well. We started with the area 6

secretary meet in Magique hosted by our wonderful LC105. It was curated so beautifully with lots of bohemian touches. We had the national secretary Cr.Shisham in attendance along with the national President Cr. Anchal. Kudos to 105 Secy Komal and CP Neha for a wonderful event and president’s visit meeting. The next morning was my journey to Vellore with our dear president and the ride was filled with lots of exchanges of what her life and my life is all about.. lasting bonds get created which are what makes this year as ACP so so memorable! CP of LC 41 Cr Gayatri had worked so hard to make this so memorable, a priority darshan at the famous Vellore Lakshmi temple followed by fellowship lunch with her Circle. Then we visited their long term project set-up for women with physical disabilities (WPD). It was heart warming to see the set up and execute the womaniya project as well.

From Vellore, onward we went to Hosur and had an amazing fellowship and meeting in CP Supriya’s farm. The next morning was the much awaited pride of area 6 - inaugural of the 121 grant toilet block where HLC32, VLC41, BLC19, BNLC14, BSLC66, BILC155, BMTLC54, BTLC122 and TLC115 came together apart from 2 other circles from Kolkatta. From there we proceeded to attend the CP meet hosted by LC107. CP Cr. Aditi and everyone in this circle made it a beautiful afternoon with Holi magic, the womaniya theme video launch that gave us goosebumps and of course the make a wish project execution. Then it was the turn of LC66 to host the president and have the wildest dance party with floor circlers of 66, national board members Cr. Ramona and Cr. Elfa in attendance.

Next morning was breakfast fellowship at LC 122 CP Cr.Samyukta’s house. Here, we got to eat some local delicacies and mingle with the floor circlers. We then proceeded towards an AREA 6 revamp project inaugural at Pragati orphanage.

The final stop was the joint meeting with LC14 and LC19 at WE! It was such a well organised lunch meeting where we met so many past and present circlers from their circles. The president’s visit was made up with so many inductions, projects and fellowship- many corner stones of Ladies circle got addressed and strengthened. A big thank you for all the hard work put in by all the circles that came together for this.

The final quarter is here and let’s all push to go that extra mile and make it count. Be it projects, fellowships or any other facet! Good luck and looking forward to the hectic JULY and AAGM in August :)

Signing off..

Embrace the jiff and leave the rest

Mom of two boys... Parenting is daily learning from our kids and managing our emotions too. Learning to manage our emotions is key to many positive things in our lives. I have learned to forgive and forget, and enjoy the moment. My younger one who is 3yrs old whenever he did something wrong when I teach him it's wrong he will accept it and say sorry then immediately he will say thank you for teaching it and give kisses and hugs which makes me to forget what he have done earlier Put your mobiles down and enjoy with your kids. It will make those moments more beautiful.

1. Broadened My Comfort Zone

Socialising for a social cause is something i always feel about circling.

15 Dec 2015 was the day an introvert girl stepped into this vast organisation called ladies circle India. Everyone was unknown, everything was new and different, I was almost lost in this big wide world but ,for a very short time. Everyone around made me feel one among them, they made me see this new world the way it was supposed to be seen and to come forward myself and find my way out. Very soon things changed, everyone became know, everything seemed know and I actually started talking to everyone and made friends with everyone ( which was actually very difficult for me earlier)

I fell more into the moment and started liking and enjoying the activities so much so that within the next few months of joining I took up my circle secy post and did not stop with this but went on further till I became the Area 6 ACP within 4 years of my circling tenure. I girl who couldn’t hold the Mike and talk had the courage to address any number of people in front of me. I learned to deal with peers with a lot of patience and multi task things through out. Circling though me how to balance home, work and circling activities. It bought out the best of me which I had never even dreamt of or ever thought I was capable of Circling became my passion, I lived circling , bringing a smile on a needy face became my motto The journey so far has been wonderful and I’m sure everyday is going to be even more beautiful

2. Ray of hope

LC 105 started out with kindled spirits of young women who wanted to make a difference in the society - Ray OF HOPE. This was the theme for the year for the charter year The year started off with a lot of Quality work as compared to Quantity and we did what was close to our heart. From the humble start for 105 to where it has grown today is indeed a happy moment in my life to see it touch the heights of the limitless sky. Kudos to the team of great people who have taken a small dream into a massive successful group doing fabulous work in the society.

3. Effort, pleasure and pride

For over 10 years Bangalore South Round Table 96 did not have a circle.

The wives of the tablers were quite happy with just meeting up whenever their husbands were meeting.

When my husband became a tabler in 1997, and i met the wives, we would have a lot of fun and would take part in all the fellowship events and enjoy.

Then came the International conference in Hyderabad. The concept of Circling and the idea of what circling was all about was intriguing to me. I booked a slot and went for the international conference with many if the Bangalore circlers. It was such fun and i wanted to be part of this international community. So i asked our girls and they were willing to become Circlers.

So i spoke to Cr. Sharmila Shanmugham who was the convenor of Cyber Gubba , the annual AGM of Round Table and Ladies Circle india ,and with her help we formed the Ladies Circle 66. The 6 circles of Bangalore 5, 14,19, 31, 36 and 54 sponsored us.

We were inaugurated in a fabulous manner and Chartered soon after And the rest is HISTORY :)

Now with pride and pleasure i watch the present vibrant group of girls doing such wonderful projects, fund raisers and fellowship and i am glad that forming LC 66 was really worth it.

4. Circle is a Ring of Eternal Love

Yes indeed it is!!

I realised it recently attending the 35th charter anniversary of our circle with the present young and energetic circlers of Hosur

Meeting all my old friends who have kept in touch , brought back all the lovely memories of our circling days.

Starting my life after marriage in a small town like Hosur at the young age of 22, where everything was new , like the place , language and people , was when I was introduced to Round table and Ladies circle. I jumped at the opportunity to start one here in Hosur

As soon as the Hosur table was formed , us wives started the ladies circle without missing a beat. Coming together with a purpose was something everyone of us welcomed. All our get togethers , meetings , driving all huddled in a car for our projects, all remains fresh in my memory We were successful at befriending circlers all over the country Today seeing our children and their kids forming strong bonds which was made possible by this wonderful movement is truly gratifying.

Am sure Hosur circle is touching greater heights with each passing year and would always be a pleasure meeting and knowing what the young circlers are achieving.

All the best girls!

Inspiration may sometimes fail to show up for work in the morning, but determination never does

5. Circling - An eternal fresh flower

Dear Friends ,

My Journey in Our Esteemed Organization, Ladies Circle India, had been a Boon to me .

A versatile teenaged girl , from Mount Carmels College, Bangalore( I was in my second year, ) to Vellore was Quite a Challenge.

Luckily we Got Enrolled with RoundTable India, as Tablers wife, I got an opportunity to explore the world around me.

My visits to Roundtable Area Events, are still fresh in my mind. Especially the Area Meet at Coimbatore, can never forget the Grand Welcome, where in they had a huge procession with Area Chairperson on a Huge Elephant.

Area Meet at Mysore, where me and my Husband Tr Umesh won the Best Dancing Couple Award.

Area Meet at Calcutta , was a Milestone for me. We made very Good Friends for life, we just met as strangers and our bonding grew stronger and stronger, it is yet strong. Our Families Bond very strongly .

Area Meet at my Home place Bangalore, is yet so close to my heart, as a couple we won The Best Dressed Couple at Palace Grounds

VRT 23, had helped me Enjoy my moments in vellore. Our social Meets were Extremely Friendly, Entertaining and Happening. All our Meets would be at Each ones Home. We would Enjoy the Homemade Cuisine, Cozy Ambience, Fun Frolic , Jokes, Competitions & Music

Right from Flower Arrangements, to one minute Games to Couple Dance on News paper was our favorite. I can clearly visualize Nargis and Yunus winning the Couple dance

Our Bonding with 41 ers , was extremely beautiful , Tr Neelakantan , Tr Dayanandan & Vigi Tr Surendran , Deepa Surendran.

They were equally lively, fun loving and would guide us in All fields of life I could relate to them at any point of life .

I remember the teenaged prangs I wished to play , and the tablers then supported me , especially Tr Shan , Tr Ravi , Tr Yunus , Tr Prasad Cr Nargis , Cr Valli , Cr Shammi , we All drove down in a car in Holi colours to Every Tabler and 41 er to colour them and have fun

We Would Always Ask Tr Shan , can we have the Moon , he would very casually remark , Why Not , I'll get you .

It was this fun _Frolic , Friendship , that jerked us to Flag Off as being a part of Ladies Circle India .

And We Started the Journey As Circlers .

6. Zestful journey

Greetings from the Charter Chairperson of BMTLC 54.

Wow what should I say about my circling journey which was a very hectic couple of years from the time we were charted in 1995.

A very active circler and has held the post of Chairperson for 3 years. Have also been actively involved in the National board as Area officer, Project Convenor and a convenor for Cyber Habba ‘97 AGM held in Bangalore. BMTLC 54 was a very small circle, which we were trying to revive as we had a lot of bad patches. I was a very dedicated and hard working circler brought a lot of pride to LC 54. Which I can seen now how well they are flying high. I am still there for them whenever they need my help. LC 54 have a lot of great potential circler sand I hope that one day we will have another National President from our circle.

My days as a circle was the best days, I have made a lot of lovely friends. Now part of the Tangent family it’s a little more relaxing and enjoying with my past friends from circling.

Thank you

7. Spirited modus operandi

A school nurtures a student. The best part of our learning and nurturing is in our school. Similarly so is circling I find in our adulthood. Lucky are the people who get a chance to join this organisation. I joined circling and have been an active circler for 18 yrs not adding the honorary / advisory role. I found in circling a group of enthusiasmlike minded women and a sense of self-fulfillment as we were positively impacting the community The group I was with in the journey of circling is family to me today Meeting fellow people who are unique in their work and thinking but like minded is exquisite to our organisation.

Circling has groomed me in how I think, talk , dress or interact or present myself positively. The best thing I like in circling is that it is a family organisation. Since it has a circling and tabling aspect it gives us ladies our own space and activities and choices to do.

The meetings, socials , unique fellowships and gatherings and heart warming projects be it within our own circle-table or the area or national level is something which I will always cherish for a life time. Love and live life in the moment in what circling teaches us.
