We present you Alberto Guazzetti Hai messo la tua firma nel mondo della notte, nei locali che hanno fatto la storia del divertimento in Italia, nell’organizzazione dei grandi eventi. Con uno stile inconfondibile e senza mai apparire troppo. Chi è Alberto Guazzetti?

In sintesi? Sono cintura nera di superfluo. Ma se vogliamo partire dagli inizi, sono nato a Monfalcone (GO): a 17 anni sono andato via di casa, ho iniziato a lavorare in porto come scaricatore e la sera in una discoteca che si chiamava Azienda. Quello che guadagnavo – all’epoca le mance non erano mica misere come oggi – mi ha permesso di finire il liceo e di trasferirmi a Trieste. Mi sono iscritto all’università: dopo i primi esami ho capito che giurisprudenza non era il mio mondo e sono passato all’allora neonata facoltà di storia.

In breve tempo, mi sono ritrovato a gestire tre diversi locali, tra cui l’Hacienda di Turriaco (GO), il primo locale gay del

Friuli Venezia Giulia, e una vecchia segheria abbandonata che diventerà La Manna di Grado.

E poi non ti sei più fermato…

Nel 1995 ho trasformato i vecchi magazzini in via Pietrasanta a Milano, usati per il deposito merci della vicina ferrovia, nei Magazzini Generali: ho gestito il locale (tuttora punto di riferimento del divertimento milanese - ndr) fino al 2005.

Nel frattempo nascevano il Rendez Vous e il Relax, entrambi a Lignano Sabbiadoro: il primo era una discoteca, il secondo il primo vero american bar del nord est, dove si mangiava l’hamburger statunitense prima dell’esplosione dei burger gourmet e dove bevevi drink internazionali su un bancone in legno che ero andato a comprare personalmente a Philadelphia.

Dopo quegli anni d’oro, non ho più avuto locali ma continuo a fare consulenze per l’organizzazione di eventi pubblici e privati.

Non finirò mai di lottare contro il calzino bianco alla caviglia.

Who is Alberto Guazzetti?

In summary? I am black belt in superfluous. But if we want to start from the beginning, I was born in Monfalcone (GO): when I was 17 I left home, I started working in the port as a docker, and in a disco that was called Azienda in the evening. What I earned - back then the tips were not at all poor as today allowed me to finish high school and move to Trieste. I enrolled in the university: after the first exams I understood that law was not my world, and I switched to the then newborn faculty of history.

In a short time, I found myself managing three different clubs, including the Hacienda in Turriaco (GO), the first gay bar in Friuli Venezia Giulia, and an old abandoned sawmill that will become La Manna in Grado.

In the meantime, Rendez Vous and Relax were born, both in Lignano Sabbiadoro: the first one was a disco, the second one the first true American bar in the north east, where people could eat the American hamburger, before the explosion of gourmet burgers, and where you could have international drinks on a wooden counter that I personally went to buy in Philadelphia.

After those golden years, I no longer run bars, but I continue to consult for the organization of public and private events.

How has the world of entertainment changed in 40 years?

Everything has changed. Discos were born as an evolution of nightclubs: limited seats, a certain kind of clothes, large selection at the door. Then they turned into squares, meeting places, showcases where to be seen, up to become places where you can get wasted listening to a certain type of muAnd then you never stopped... sic. Today that bubble has burst.

Com’è cambiato il mondo del divertimento in 40 anni? È cambiato tutto. Le discoteche sono nate come evoluzione dei night club: posti limitati, abbigliamento di un certo tipo, gran selezione alla porta.

Poi si sono trasformate in piazze, in luoghi di ritrovo, in vetrine in cui farsi vedere fino a diventare anche luoghi in cui sballare ascoltando un certo tipo di musica. Oggi quella bolla è scoppiata.

In che senso? È cambiato il vivere la notte, esattamente come è cambiata la gente. Non c’è più bisogno di un luogo in cui esibirsi, oggi basta farsi un selfie o caricare una story su Instagram per mostrarsi agli altri e per condividere esperienze. I locali notturni non sono più un ritrovo, non ce n’è bisogno, nemmeno nei paesi. È solo l’evento singolo che attira: il nome dell’artista che suona, il concerto, la serata particolare.

Nemmeno tra i più giovani?

Anche a livello di età è tutto molto compresso e più veloce: a 13-14 anni già chiedono di andare in discoteca e passati i 20-25 anni ne sono giù stufi.

Per questo, in generale, c’è meno gente nei locali: chi è più adulto preferisce andare al ristorante e poi magari a bere un drink in un bar di livello.

E lo stile com’è cambiato?

Una volta c’era molta più attenzione nei codici del vestire e dell’apparire: se andavi al bar o al ristorante ti vestivi bene, non mettevi la tuta e le ciabatte. Poi ci sono stati gli anni dei paninari, dei punk, dei dark, solo per citarne alcuni: ma quello non era stile, era

un codice di riferimento, erano delle vere e proprie tribù che adesso non esistono più.

Chi poteva permetterselo si comprava il Kawa, la Honda verde o il Golf GTI, erano dei simboli, degli status che determinavano un codice, un’appartenenza.

Oggi non c’è questa riconoscibilità, ai giovani non interessa più esibire la macchina o l’orologio, esattamente come sulla porta della discoteca arrivano stuoli di ragazzi che credono di essere eleganti solo perché indossano una camicia bianca. Magari con i calzoni corti sotto e dopo aver ascoltato “Col trattore in tangenziale andiamo a comandare”.

Ascoltarti è un viaggio tra generazioni attraverso il mondo della notte. Tu ci lavori da anni, restando sempre dietro le quinte, con un’innata sensibilità verso ciò che piace alla gente, verso ciò che è bello. Che cos’è per te l’eleganza? È una forma mentale, per me l’eleganza parte da un buon cervello e da un bel sorriso.

Sono da sempre un cultore del classico, il classico che diventa tradizione e rispetto per il passato. Se ci pensi, la tradizione non è altro che un’innovazione così ben riuscita da diventare un classico. Succede per l’abbigliamento, per gli oggetti, per il design.

Essere eleganti in questo modo è impegnativo, bisogna essere rigorosi: qualità, tempi, gesti, costi, armonia.

Parliamone. Da cosa vuoi iniziare?

Dalla camicia ovviamente, la cifra dell’identità di un uomo: la giornata inizia meglio con la giusta camicia addosso. Che

Nightclubs are no longer a meeting place, there is no need, not even in the villages. Only single events draw attention: the name of the artist who plays, the concert, the unique soiree.

Not even among the youngest?

Even at the age level, everything is very compressed and faster: at 13-14 years old they already ask to go to the disco, but after their 20s they are already tired of it. For this reason, in general, there are fewer people in the clubs: adults prefer to go to a restaurant and then maybe have a drink in a high-level bar.

And how has the style changed?

There used to be much more attention in the codes of dress and appearance: if you were going to the bar or restaurant, you dressed well, you did not wear joggers and slippers.

Then there were the years of the paninaro, punk, dark, just to name a few: but that was not style, it was a reference code, they were full-fledged tribes that no longer exist.

Those who could afford it, purchased the Kawa, the green Honda or the Golf GTI, they were symbols, statuses that determined a code, a belonging.

Listening to you is a journey between generations across nightlife. You have been working in it for years, always behind the scenes, with an innate sensitivity towards what people like, towards what is beautiful. What is elegance for you?

It is a mental form, for me elegance starts from a good brain and a beautiful smile.

I have always been a lover of the classic, the one that becomes tradition and respect for the past. If you think about it, tradition is nothing but an innovation so successful that it has become a classic. It happens for clothing, for objects, for design.

Being elegant in this way is demanding, you have to be rigorous: quality, time, gestures, costs, harmony.

About that. What do you want to start with?

With the shirt, of course, the code of a man’s identity: the day starts better with the right shirt on. That must be strictly tailor-made. The embroidered figures? They come from a poor heritage, when the laundry was done all together: the initials were used to understand whom

Nascono da un retaggio povero, quando il bucato lo si faceva tutti insieme: le iniziali servivano a capire a chi appartenesse ogni camicia. Quindi ok le cifre, ma solo se ricamate a mano, possibilmente con il punto catena di Finollo di Genova, e posizionate rigorosamente a sinistra e all’altezza del quinto bottone. Altrimenti fa miseria, è come fumare il Toscano tagliato a metà. Ah… ovviamente un uomo serio non indossa mai la camicia azzurra dopo le 5 del pomeriggio.

La moda? Non esiste più. Vorrei che l’educazione diventasse di moda.

E infine il cappello: ahimè un dettaglio ormai molto trascuE se ti chiedo qualcosa degli rato. Io li amo, soprattutto accessori? Che so, cravatta, perché lo devi togliere quando incontri una signora. calzini e cappello?

Esiste una vera e propria letteratura sui nodi di cravatta. Ri- Ecco, torniamo alle persone: esco ad eseguirne 80 degli 88 tu ne hai incontrate moltissidocumentati, dal più semplice me nella tua vita. Sei uno dei pochi che usa sempre il Lei quando ti rivolgi alle persone. E sei capace di farlo in modo naturale e spontaneo, mai artefatto. È una caratteristica che ti distingue in un mondo in cui ormai purtroppo la “forma” è un concetto fuori moda.

Qual è il motivo di dare del Lei a tutti?

Mi viene più naturale. È stata una scelta quando lavoravo in un certo tipo di ambiente in cui spesso chi aveva una mansione umile veniva trattato con poco rispetto. Io davo del Lei a tutte le persone con cui lavoravo e continuo a farlo come forma di rispetto, anche se sembro antico.

Mi racconti una tua mania?

La pulizia delle scarpe. Sono stato il primo italiano a vincere a fine anni ’90, al Ritz di Parigi, la gara delle “tre c”: champagne, chirage e cigare.

A fine cena bisognava togliersi le scarpe e lucidarle: come ultimo passaggio, dopo panno e succo di limone nel mio caso, usi lo champagne finché la superficie della scarpa sembra di vetro. Ho vinto e mi hanno regalato delle slippers con le mie iniziali ricamate al momento.

A casa pulire le scarpe è come un rito. Per farlo bene ci metto anche mezza giornata. Per un solo paio, ovviamente.

Cosa ti manca del passato?

Per prima cosa la giovinezza ma non con rimpianto. Il passato è l’osservatorio per guardare il futuro, non qualcosa a cui restare ancorati, altrimenti non evolvi, vivi male e invecchi presto. Amo le tradizioni ma non credo al “si viveva meglio prima”. Si cambia e, possibilmente, si migliora sempre. Una mania raccontata con serio umorismo. Cos’è l’iroEssere di moda esiste ancora nia per te?

L’ironia è parte fondamentale come concetto?

Non amo quello che è di moda, dello stile. Spesso la mia ironia perché quasi sempre non è di diventa sarcasmo e perde un buongusto. You are one of the few who addresses people with courtesy. And you are able to do it naturally and spontaneously, never forced. It is a feature that makes you stand out in a world where today the “courtesy” is unfortunately an out of date concept.

Why being so polite with everyone?

It comes natural to me. It was a choice from when I worked in a certain type of environment in which those with humble duties were often treated with little respect. I was polite with all the people I worked with and I continue to do so as a form of respect, even if I seem old.

What do you miss from the past?

First of all the youth, but not with regret. The past is the observatory to look to the future, not something to be anchored to, otherwise we don’t evolve, we live badly and get old soon.

I love traditions but I don’t believe in the “we lived better before”. We change and, possibly, always improve.

Does being fashionable still exist as a concept?

I don’t like what’s fashionable, because it’s almost always not of good taste. Fashion no longer exists: there is luxury, a niche that still has something to give, and then there is a lot of filth that is called fashion. All those passing phenomena that last a season, such as seashell anklets, a fanny pack, a tank top.

I will never let my guard down in the battle against the white ankle sock. If you need to take things with you, invent something but never use a fanny pack. And if you wear a tank top, simply know that I won’t speak to you.

So what is fashion?

I wish education was fashionable. Because education leads to style, and then style becomes your code, your fingerprint.

Can you tell me your craze?

Cleaning the shoes. I was the first Italian to win, at the end of the 90s at the Ritz in Paris, the “three c” race: champagne, chirage and cigare. At the end of dinner you had to take off your shoes and polish them: as a last step, after cloth and lemon juice in my case, you use champagne until the surface of the shoe looks like glass. I won, and they gave me slippers with my initials embroidered at the moment.

At home, cleaning shoes is like a ritual. To do it well it takes me half a day. For just one pair, of course.

Irony is a fundamental part of style. Often my irony becomes sarcasm and loses a little elegance, but nowadays you can no longer be too indulgent.

DESIGN IN EQUILIBRIO Giulia Minozzi e Rune Ricciardelli: passo a due nel mondo dell’interior design

BALANCED DESIGN Giulia Minozzi and Rune Ricciardelli: pas de deux in the world of interior design

Giulia Minozzi e Rune Ricciardelli nel 2016 entrano nel team dello studio creativo di Udine Visual Display come senior designer e creative director e dopo qualche anno diventano soci junior dell’azienda che conta una decina di collaboratori tra architetti, designer e grafici e si occupa di progettazione internazionale per ristorazione, retail, hospitality, residenziale.

Salentino con radici nordiche Rune, friulana “quasi” doc Giulia, si sono incontrati per caso a Milano nel 2010 nello studio della designer Paola Navone dove Rune lavorava da diversi anni nel dipartimento di interior design.

“Ero alla ricerca di impiego, fresca di laurea magistrale – racconta Giulia - La notorietà di Paola stava esplodendo: io e Rune abbiamo iniziato a lavorare su alcuni suoi importanti progetti viaggiando tra Barcellona, Milano e Trieste, ci siamo conosciuti e poi innamorati.”

Nel 2013 decidono di intraprendere una strada diversa e di mettersi in proprio. Inizia la collaborazione con la Visual Display come consulenti esterni per i progetti di interior.

trasferirci a Udine – racconta Rune - andare a vivere in provincia poteva sembrare una scelta azzardata, soprattutto per chi fa il nostro mestiere, invece è stato un cambiamento che sta portando molte soddisfazioni sia personali che professionali.” È proprio l’unione delle due persone, professionisti diversi ma complementari, che ne caratterizza il modo di creare: Giulia, più sognatrice ed impulsiva, ama la fase di ricerca dei progetti, il creare possibili scenari, idee, trovare nuovi materiali. Rune, più pragmatico, non perde mai di vista l’obiettivo finale e riesce a trovare la soluzione ad ogni tipo di difficoltà – budget, esecuzione lavori, imprevisti tecnici - che ogni progetto porta naturalmente con sé.

Lo stile di Giulia e Rune è contaminato da influenze diverse: viaggi, letture, passione per il cinema e per la scenografia: “qualsiasi cosa stimoli la nostra fantasia può trasformarsi in uno spunto su cui lavorare. Ci piace mescolare gli stili, stupire creando accostamenti inediti di materiali e colori. Ci annoiamo facilmente: è raro quindi che ci venga voglia di fare la stessa cosa. In 2016 they joined the team of the creative studio Visual Display in Udine as senior designer and creative director, and after a few years they became junior partners of the company which has about ten collaborators between architects, designers and graphic designers, and is involved in international design for catering, retail, hospitality, residential.

Rune, from Salento with northern roots, and Giulia, an “almost” d.o.c. Friulian, met in Milan by chance in 2010 in the studio of the designer Paola Navone, where Rune had worked for several years in the interior design department.

“I was looking for a job, fresh from my master’s degree - says Giulia - Paola’s fame was exploding: Rune and I started to work on some of her important projects, traveling between Barcelona, Milan and Trieste, we knew each other and then fell in love.”

In 2013 they decided to take a different path and started their own business. Giulia and Rune’s style is tainted by different influences: travel, readings, passion for cinema and scenography: “anything that stimulates our imagination can turn into a starting point to work on. We like to mix styles, to amaze by creating unusual combinations of materials and colors. We get bored easily: so we rarely want to do the same thing. Our projects are all different, a sort of continuous experimentation.

We constantly question ourselves, continuously trying to improve by seeking beauty, a concept too ideal and abstract to have a single definition.”

La cifra stilistica di Giulia e Rune, infatti, è la capacità di saper dosare gli ‘ingredienti’ trovando di volta in volta l’armonia di progetto che nasce dall’equilibrio tra gesti progettuali, materiali, luce e colore.

Ogni progetto inizia sempre con l’ascoltare le richieste del cliente, con lo studio del luogo e del contesto in cui sarà inserito da cui delineare gli scenari possibili. “Non esiste una formula sempre uguale per far

nascere un concept. Alle volte parte da un’ispirazione o dall’intuizione del momento, altre da una specifica richiesta, oppure anche dagli stessi vincoli di spazio o di architettura. Anche quando abbiamo carta bianca, il nostro approccio è sempre di tipo funzionale: mettiamo al centro di tutto le esigenze di chi ‘abiterà’ quello spazio. Il semplice esercizio di stile fine a se stesso non ci interessa.”

Esempio perfetto di questo approccio è uno dei lavori a cui Giulia e Rune sono più affezionati, la ristrutturazione del Ristorante Vitello d’Oro, luogo storico nel cuore del centro di Udine, che unisce grande ricerca estetica con una fase progettuale lunga quasi un

Each project always begins with listening to the customer’s requests, with the study of the place and context in which the project will be inserted, from which to outline the possible scenarios. “There isn’t always an equal formula to create a concept. ways the functional kind of approach: we put the needs of those who will ‘inhabit’ that space at the center of everything. We are not interested in the simple exercise in style as an end in itself.”

A perfect example of this approach is one of the works which Giulia and Rune are most fond of, the renovation of the restaurant Vitello d’Oro, a historic place in the heart of the city of Udine, which combines great aesthetic research - with a project phase that lasted almost a year long - excellent functionality of the spaces and profound responsibility towards a much loved and known place.

anno, ottima funzionalità degli spazi e profonda responsabilità verso un luogo molto amato e conosciuto. Non è solo un ristorante, infatti, ma la ‘casa’ della famiglia Sabinot che lo gestisce dal 1987. “In questo progetto si esprimono un po’ tutte le nostre anime: il rispetto del passato, delle persone e dei luoghi, accostamenti dosati di colori e materiali, la cura dei dettagli, l’amore per il bello.”

I progetti nel cassetto sono molti nonostante il momento storico abbia provocato una brusca frenata per tutto il comparto del retail e della ristorazione in particolare: con la Visual Display stanno curando l’arredo interno di diverse case private importanti, una dimora nobiliare nel centro di Udine e una grande villa appena ristrutturata a Cortina.

Per quanto riguarda l’hospitality, sono in fase di avvio due progetti: un farm hotel, con area wellness e vista sulla fattoria, e un boutique hotel immerso nelle vigne friulane.

“Quando non lavoriamo ai progetti dei clienti, pensiamo alle nostre case, non possiamo farne a meno, ancora di più dopo questo periodo di quarantena che tutti noi abbiamo vissuto.

Per noi le case non finiscono mai, sono progetti in divenire, seguono le evoluzioni di chi ci abita e sono luoghi di sperimentazione continua. Nel nostro caso c’è la casa di Udine, il nostro nido, ma anche quella in Puglia, una masseria sperduta nelle campagne salentine, un luogo magico con una luce incredibile in cui fuggiamo appena ne abbiamo il tempo.”

There are many long-cherished projects even if this historical moment has caused an abrupt slowdown, in particular for the entire retail and catering sectors: with Visual Display they are taking care of the interior furnishings of several important private houses, a noble residence in the center of Udine and a large newly renovated villa in Cortina.

Regarding hospitality, two projects are in the start-up phase: a farm hotel, with a wellness area and views over the farm, and a boutique hotel immersed in the Friulian vineyards.

For us, houses are never finished, they are ongoing projects, they follow the evolutions of those who live there, and they are places of continuous experimentation. Imprenditrice, direttrice artistica, visionaria: chi è Patrizia Moroso?

Sono un po’ di tutte queste cose, un bel “minestrone” di ingredienti: non ho mai separato la mia vita privata dal mio lavoro e mai lo farò. Ho il grande privilegio di fare ciò che amo, l’ho vissuto come un destino favorevole, come un dono.

Da piccola ero una bambina un po’ selvatica e ribelle: sono cresciuta tra la campagna e l’azienda di famiglia che i miei genitori hanno creato nel 1952: mio padre Agostino aveva 20 anni, mia madre Diana solo 17 e lavoravano entrambi già da tempo.

Mentre tutti lasciavano l’Italia per andare all’estero e scappare dalla miseria, i miei hanno deciso di restare per creare qualcosa di nuovo, che appartenesse solo a loro: è così che hanno creato nel cortile di casa un piccolo laboratorio di tappezzeria in cui lavoravano fa-

I am a bit of all these things, a nice “hodgepodge” of ingredients: I have never separated my private life from my job and I will never do it. I have the great privilege of doing what I love, I have experienced it as a favorable destiny, as a gift.

As a child I was a little wild and disobedient: I grew up between the countryside and the family business that my parents created in 1952: my father Agostino was 20 years old, my mother Diana only 17, and they both had been working for some time.

While everybody would leave Italy to go abroad and run away from misery, my parents decided to stay to create something new, which belonged only to them: this is how they created a small upholstery workshop in our backyard, where family and friends have worked and is still called Moroso.

A one of a kind industrial architecture in the city. For us this was the starting point of the FSM project, beginning with the creation of the brand. The name itself was studied and conceived drawing inspiration from the histoian Agip motels from the ’50s.

Today we can say that it has found a new identity though respectful of what it used to be. What is your attitude towards the past?

The past is the moment of experience. I love history, I like to know the course of events that have created our reality and our present, and this applies both on a personal and on a general level. Everything that happens to us makes us the person we are, that is, a mix of DNA, experience, reality and determination: we choose

economic crisis. There was no communication, there was no sense of the brand as today: at that time in order to have a market, it was enough to work hard and guarantee quality. The turning point was to bring “your world” into the company, right?

Yes, and I did it thanks to the people, artists and designers who have contributed to creating Moroso’s stylistic code. My who had talent and had great consideration for them. Sì, tre incontri fondamentali.

Iosa Ghini e poi Toshiyuki Kita e Ron Arad hanno tracciato le tre pietre miliari su cui si basa il fare design secondo Moroso: valorizzare i giovani talenti, esplorare culture lontane e diverse dalla nostra e fondare un nuovo rapporto tra design e arte.

Ci racconti queste storie?

Nel 1988 conobbi un designer giapponese che sarebbe diventato ben presto uno di famiglia. Poi subito dopo, nel 1990, conobbi Ron Arad: da sempre abituato a lavorare il metallo, voleva realizzare degli imbottiti e allora gli proposi una collaborazione. Risultato: oltre 15 pezzi che traghettavano il suo linguaggio dalla saldatura alla cucitura, dal rigido al morbido, dal grigio del metallo ai colori primari, pieni e intensi del panno.

Moroso è stata la prima azienda con cui ha lavorato: è stato un percorso irripetibile di creazione e traduzione di significati, non solo di forme.

Ron, infatti, era un artista e il suo design era concepito come espressione personale per creare pezzi unici ed edizioni limitate. Con Moroso, invece, i suoi oggetti sono entrati nelle case di tutto il mondo.

Questo edificio racchiude sotto la sua cupola in cemento un’officina di moto con tutti i suoi spazi annessi e una piccola osteria su strada.

A nostro parere però il progetto esprime al meglio il suo potenziale nel grande spazio vuoto centrale che allo stesso tempo unisce e divide le funzioni lasciando spazio all’immaginazione. Cosa ti ha portato a sceglierla come location per il catalogo Moroso?

Perché questo luogo ha una forte vocazione internazionale, potrebbe trovarsi tranquillamente a Hong Kong o a New York. È un perfetto métissage, mette insieme tante anime diverse - moto, abiti, caffe e vino – e per questo mi è affine.

Come set fotografico è perfetto, non può che far nascere nuove contaminazioni e significati in ciò che viene scattato.

Guardiamo sempre al nostro presente. Un presente difficile che ha cambiato la nostra realtà in modo sconvolgente.

Quali opportunità dobbiamo cogliere?

Siamo su un crinale. C’è un prima e ci sarà un dopo. La sfida è enorme, per tutti. Mi auguro che l’umanità capisca e prenda consapevolezza che siamo arrivati ad un bivio per la nostra sopravvivenza e quella del pianeta.

Questa emergenza è stata come un annuncio, una chance unica e irripetibile per capire come l’uomo deve vivere su questa terra, preservando le risorse invece di continuare a distruggerle.

Il Covid-19 è l’ultima chiamata. Cogliamola.

Non poteva non esserci anche una donna in questo incontro di universi. È vero. Con Patricia Urquiola fu un altro colpo di fulmine.

Patricia iniziò la collaborazione con Moroso nel 1999 e da subito sovvertì l’ordine delle cose: mentre prima le collezioni di design erano separate da quelle più tradizionali, con lei “tutto diventò design”, anche i prodotti più semplici per la casa. Fu una nuova rivoluzione per il marchio Moroso: la creatività non riguardava più solo una nicchia del mercato, anche i prodotti più disegnati erano pensati per essere vissu- Personalmente abbiamo sempre considerato il Design un ti quotidianamente.

Il design ha in sé il “potere di salvare il mondo”. Il design ormai permea tutto della nostra quotidianità, rientra nella vita di ognuno di noi senza che ce ne rendiamo conto, dalla scelta della forma di un bicchiere, all’idea di un arredo.

La grande missione del design è disegnare la bellezza e renderla accessibile a tutti grazie alla produzione industriale. Però in questo momento al design viene chiesto qualcosa in più.

Che cosa intendi?

Il bravo designer di oggi è quello che saprà creare oggetti quanto più sostenibili per il mondo che verrà, per i nostri figli e i nostri nipoti.

Il momento che stiamo vivendo ha cambiato profondamente il modo di vivere gli spazi.

Ogni casa assomiglia a chi la abita. Nel mio caso è stato un colpo di fulmine: un terreno vuoto con una grandissima area verde non edificabile che sembrava una giungla. Quando ho chiamato Patricia (Urquiola) per il progetto le ho detto: “ho trovato un posto meraviglioso: voglio una casa che rispetti ciò che già c’è e che faccia entrare l’esterno all’interno”.

Come la vivo? Come ho sempre fatto, anche prima dell’emergenza: è rifugio, è insieme di cose salvate e di idee, mi innamoro di oggetti e li porto a casa. È un grande loft senza chiusure e senza porte e gli oggetti ci vivono bene, trovano il loro giusto spazio.

La casa è anche la continuazione del luogo di lavoro. Spesso ci organizzo anche le riunioni: si mette su un buon caffè e si parla, ci si confronta, si sta insieme.

Alla fine di questo viaggio dal passato al presente: chi è quindi Patrizia Moroso?
