Based on drawings from the late 19th century originating from the Vista Alegre Museum collection, the pieces in this collection merge Vista Alegre’s past with the present. Inspired by both the charm and the dichotomy between opposing natures, this collection portrays the dialectic between reason and emotion, control and explosion, sobriety and excess. On the main faces of its pieces, classic elements prevail, in white, subtly arranged in a delicate harmony. On the other side, lush flowers burst out, seeking to invade the peace and destabilize the 3 regularity, in a swirl of colors and romantic motifs.

A set based on the pattern known as œil-deperdrix (partridge eye), originating in the late 18th century and very common in Sèvres porcelain. In shades of fiery blue and gold, using modern geometric patterns but maintaining the same decorative technique that defines the several textures, this set reinvents techniques used in classical decoration.

This collection sought inspiration from a table centerpiece created in the 17th century to embellish the table at the French court, as well as from 18th - century Naturalism. Adorned with elegant drawings of plants, colored in soft hues of Céladon green and Primevère yellow, the fine white porcelain pieces with black edges and details hark back to the previously developed collection of 14the same name.

Molded in biscuit with hand-painted blue notes, the pieces feature striking and contemporary relief and shapes, revamping the Delft Blue tradition. The porcelain lid, decorated with a glass element evoking a leaf, subtly alludes to the brand’s original collection.

On the drawings made directly on the pieces by the painters of the Manufacturing team, the women of the Kayapo tribe have drawn their graphics, as inspiration takes them. The creative, cultural and social DNA of the project remains, as part of the revenue from this range will 18 be channeled back into the reforestation of the Mato Grosso area.

Comics meet porcelain in the Je Kraak collection, telling stories with different themes, by comic book illustrators. Kraak, the Dutch name given to this porcelain, comes from the Portuguese carrack 19 ships, hence the name of this collection – Je Kraak.

Despite drawing by hand, I rounded up rulers, squares and compasses to confirm the theory of the Golden Ratio in my illustration of the Mona Lisa. Here and there, I hide measurements taken from the Last Supper, or I highlight the bronze horse commissioned by the city of Milan, I make references to the hollow dodecahedron or represent the Vitruvian Man. With Leonardo da Vinci, we stand before the science and masterful art of a man who, five centuries later,24continues to amaze and cause our imagination to take flight. This work is a tribute.
