THE MALVERNS Escape to a landscape untouched by time. Malvern, once described as â&#x20AC;&#x2DC;middle England personifiedâ&#x20AC;&#x2122; offers a wide range of things to see and do. The Malvern Hills extend for nine miles, offering ideal walking conditions and spectacular views stretching to the Cotswolds and the Welsh Marches.

Malvern is also the home of the 11th century Great Malvern Priory, the Morgan Motor Company and the source of the world renowned Malvern Spring Water. NORTH WORCESTERSHIRE Visit the North Worcestershire Towns of Bewdley, Bromsgrove, Kidderminster, Redditch and Stourport where natural beauty meets industrial heritage. In Bromsgrove, visit The Wythall Transport Museum with over 90 Buses and an assortment of electric vans from the past to see and ride on. Avoncroft Museum, England’s first open air collection of historic buildings provides something for all ages, including an award winning Edwardian Tea Room. Stourport on Severn combines a river and canal side setting with open green space, amusements, boat hire, river cruises, fairground rides, and paddling pool, great for all ages. The historic town of Bewdley is another riverside town, known for its annual arts festival, which attracts visitors from far and wide as music, books and comedy come together. A mix of old and new in Redditch sees the history of the needle and fishing tackle industry, told via the Forge Mill Needle Museum, alongside ruins of Bordesley Abbey a 12th-century Cistercian Abbey. See excavated items on display at the on-site Visitor Centre and Museum. New for 2018, in the town you will find a large bronze memorial depicting the Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham, who was born in Redditch. Worcestershire’s Vale & Spa Worcesteshire’s Vale and Spa spans from the Cotswold village of Broadway and the Vale of Evesham in the south to the salt heritage of Droitwich Spa in the north. The magnificent natural environment is complemented by built influences from Georgians, Victorians and even Medieval and Roman times. In the springtime, the Vale of Evesham is adorned with blossom. Hillsides rising from the Avon shimmer with plum white and apple pink, and country lanes deliver views into orchards behind the damson trees traditionally planted in hedgerows to protect the main fruit from the wind. The Severn Valley Railway operates a mostly steam hauled train service along the beautiful Severn Valley between Kidderminster and Bewdley in Worcestershire and Bridgnorth in Shropshire, a journey of about 16 miles.

A must for a visit is The Engine House Visitor Centre which is located half way along the line at Highley. The reserve collection of steam locomotives is on display there and includes an exhibition that charts the history of the Severn Valley line.
