Park B-Reactor and Pre-Manhattan Project Historic Sites
Part of the top-secret Manhattan Project, the Hanford Site’s B-Reactor was the rst full-scale nuclear reactor to operate in the world. Closed for restoration in 2024 and 2025, the B-Reactor plans to re-open at a future date to continue tours of the facility. Virtual tours will be available during the closure. Check out the historic towns of Hanford and White Blu s and learn about the pre-1943 communities that developed the agricultural landscape before having their land seized for the government’s Manhattan Project.

The 9-11 World Trade Center Memorial was dedicated on September 11, 2011 in Kennewick at the entrance of the Southridge Sports Complex. Constructed from a 30-foot steel beam recovered from the Twin Towers in New York, this monument proudly stands as a tribute to the men and women that lost their lives on this fateful day in 2001.
The Clover Island Lighthouse is the most recently constructed lighthouse in Washington State. The 62-foot tall structure stands in the Lighthouse Plaza at Clover Island, which is perfect for viewing sunsets, enjoying wildlife and exploring the artwork surrounding the Island.

Enjoy the fresh air at Live at 5, a free outdoor summer concert series at the HAPO Community Stage at John Dam Plaza in Richland. Escape to Clover Island for the free concert series Thunder on the Island, which takes place every Wednesday in the summer at the Clover Island Inn. The Emerald of Siam, a local Thai restaurant offering scrumptious cuisine, has evolved into one of the coolest places to discover new music! Live music can also be found at wine bars, breweries and cocktail lounges throughout the Tri-Cities.
Laughter is the best medicine for a great time, so head to Joker’s Comedy Club in Richland to watch top-touring comedians, as well as locally known acts. When the show’s over, you don’t have to go home just yet…the Club turns into a nightclub where guests can cut loose and dance into the wee hours of the morning!
The 10,000 square foot store has built up a table-top gaming following, where they host regular nightly events. The creative nook is also home to novelty collector’s items, comic books, vinyl records, and a lot more!
Boasting some of the best weather in the Northwest, the Tri-Cities offers visitors year-round activities. As a desert region, the Tri-Cities area enjoys a mild climate with 300 days of sunshine each year. Average annual precipitation is less than seven inches. In the winter, temperatures are moderate and snowfall is uncommon. Badger Mountain Centennial Preserve
574 acres on Badger Mountain have been set aside to safeguard one of the last remaining shrub-steppe habitats bordering the southwestern edge of the Tri-Cities. Hikers gain about 800 feet in elevation from base to summit; a hike to the top affords spectacular views of the Tri-Cities, Yakima, and Columbia River valleys.
