Visit Madison’s mission is to develop and promote authentic visitor experiences that enhance sustainable economic growth and quality of place for the City of Madison and Jefferson County.
Visit Madison, Inc. is a not-for-profit 501(c)(6) corporation responsible for promoting tourism in the Madison & Jefferson County area. This destination marketing organization is Madison’s exclusive provider of tourism promotion services.
The Madison Visitor Council was established in 1991 and operated by the Madison Area Chamber of Commerce. In 1994, stakeholders created the Madison Area Convention and Visitors Bureau (MACVB). In February 2011, MCVB was re-branded to Visit Madison, Inc., alongside a city-wide branding campaign.

In 2024, Visit Madison proudly unveiled the REVerie Roads motortrail, a unique tourism experience designed to attract driving enthusiasts and explorers alike. These thoughtfully curated routes highlight the scenic beauty, vibrant culture, and rich heritage of Madison, southern Indiana, and the surrounding areas. The launch featured the flagship trail, the Serpent of 62, renowned for its captivating twists and picturesque landscapes. The successful launch has set the stage for continued growth in regional visitation and collaboration among our community partners.
