23.December: 11.00-13.00:Visit the outdoor museum Maihaugen and experience real Christmas mood around 1930s-1950s. Several shops and houses will be open.

13.00: Join the old tradition where we put porridge out for the “nisse” who hides in the barn. Meet at the town square at Maihaugen.

14:00 . Enjoy Christmas porridge at the historical building Kirkestuen.

Tickets can be bought in Maihaugen’s guest centre. The tickets also include Maihaugen’s program on 24.12.

Lillehammer centre with small wooden houses is a perfect frame of the true Christmas spirit. The pedestrian street and surroundings are Christmas decorated. In the main street you can experience horse sledge ride free of charge 14.00-17.00 and you will meet the Santa family.

Dog sledding activity in the beautiful mountain, Sjusjøen. You will get served hot drinks and make your own pastry on the fire after your dog sledding experience.

24.December: Tobogganingin the Olympic Park - Tobogganing is not an Olympic discipline, but it has still become one of Lillehammer’s most popular winter activities. A tow-bar on the ski lift pulls you and the sled up the hill while you are sitting on the sled. Once at the top, a spectacular ride down a professionally prepped track awaits you. The sleds have brakes so you can regulate the speed yourself.
