Herning har opfostret mange store cykelsportsprofiler gennem tiden, og det er ingen tilfældighed. Området har et netværk af de dejligste cykelruter på små landeveje og cykelstier.
Helt usædvanligt finder du i Herning en golfbane inde i byen, kun 2 km. fra centrum. Herning Golf Klub byder på golf i topklasse på en af Danmarks smukkeste parkbaner. Oplev en fantastisk atmosfære, naturskønne omgivelser, vandhazarder, knap 50 bunkers og den gode stemning i det flot designede klubhus. I Klubben er alle gæstespillere velkomne, og hvis du ikke har din golfbag med, er der mulighed for at leje golfudstyr.
Lej en cykel hos VisitHerning og tag på en skøn cykeltur ud i det blå. Tag fx. en tur mod Viborg på Alhedestien (rute nr. 21), som har sit udspring lige ved siden af herningCentret. Alhedestien er anlagt på den gamle jernbane mellem Herning og Viborg og stien er blottet for bakker. Gæster på Scandic Regina, Hotel Eyde, Sinatur Hotel Skarrildhus, kan gratis låne en af hotellernes cykler.
Lovely bicycle routes Herning has been home to many great cyclists throughout the years, and this is no coincidence. The area has a network of lovely bicycle routes on small country roads, and bicycle lanes. Rent a bicycle at VisitHerning and go for a ride in the great outdoors. E.g. head towards Viborg on the Alhedestien path (route no. 21), that starts just next to the Herning centre (herningCentret). The Alhedestien is located on the old railway between Herning and Viborg, and the path has no hills. Guests at Scandic Regina, Hotel Eyde, Sinatur Hotel Skarrildhus, can borrow the hotels’ bicycles free of charge.

The perfect golfing experience Quite unusually, there is a golf course in the city of Herning, only 2 kilometres from the city centre. Herning Golf Club offers world-class golf on one of Denmark’s most beautiful courses. Experience a fantastic atmosphere, scenic surroundings, water hazards, almost 50 bunkers and the great atmosphere in the well-designed golf club. All guest players are welcome to play at the club and if you did not bring your golf clubs, you can always rent golf equipment. After a round of golf you can enjoy a lovely lunch or evening meal at the Golf Café, all the while enjoying the amazing view of the club grounds.
