Ayushmann Khurrana releases first album

Ayushmann Khurrana deserves to be called the most versatile newcomer in B-town. After exploring multi-faceted characters in films like Vicky Donor and Nautanki Saala, Ayushmann recently turned assistant director with Madras Café. He is also a talented singer in his own right. The latest on Ayushmann’s front is his debut album, ‘O Heeriye’, which he released on the eve of his birthday. The actor reveals that he was always inclined towards writing and composing music. “I composed Paani da Rang and Saadi Galli in school. There are around 8 to 10 songs that I have composed, so I thought it was the right time to come out with my own album.”

As if that is not enough, Ayushmann will also be seen singing in Yash Raj Productions’ next opposite Sonam Kapoor.

Akshay has a great regard for Mithun

We often hear of on-screen camaraderie extending to off-screen friendships but few actors tend to take their friendships with co-stars seriously. However, there are exceptions, like the good at heart Akshay Kumar and the affable Mithun Chakraborty, who have lately become the best of friends. The two actors, who will be seen sharing screen space in the upcoming film Boss, have been bonding big-time off the sets. In the film, Mithun plays the role of Akshay Kumar’s father, a role that he had earlier essayed in the film, Chandi Chowk to China.

When Akshay Kumar was recently asked about his equation with Mithun, he revealed that he had immense respect and reverence for the veteran actor. “I even take advice from him for some scenes. He is a father figure to me,” Akshay revealed. www.visionasia.com.au | October 2013
