There are two economic systems in the world, man’s and God’s, the second revealed in great detail in the scriptures, where we realize that generally the man’s economy and God’s contradict each other.

The most important difference between the man economy and God’s is God himself. In Lord’s economy, Christ is the central one, but from the perspective of a man without Christ, God’s economy is an impractical “leap of faith”.

God is as predictable as he is unpredictable, for example, we know that he’s faithful in everything and that he will provide his children basic. But what we cannot predict is how the Lord will supply, because he uses different and sometimes surprising ways to supply our basic needs. Regardless the way he will use to give us what we need, he will give us because he is absolutely trustworthy.

The Lord promises that He will relief our needs. In Matthew 6:33 says, “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well”.

The same Lord who fed manna to Israel sons in the desert for 40 years, and fed 5,000 people with only five loaves and two fish, has promised to relief our needs.

Families in Latin America must stop thinking that we are “home providers”. One of these days we’ll discover when we are out of work or have great losses in business, that God, JehovahJireh, is actually the one who provides our needs.

Sometimes we think that we are the ones who bring the home provisions, when in fact everything we have we have received by God’s grace.

In the Bible the word “steward” is used to describe the role we serve. Being a steward means managing someone else’s belongings. God owns everything we have and has given us the responsibility to manage all of those things faithfully, according to Biblical finances principles.

Not understanding God’s financial principles and not having “biblical criteria” when handling money often leads us to make bad decisions in all life areas, including the financial field.
