EpiCord is a minimally manipulated, dehydrated, non-viable cellular umbilical cord allograft for homologous use.
Provides a protective environment for the healing process.
It is a unique, thick membrane derived from umbilical cord, the structure that protects the arteries and vein that carry essential nourishment and oxygenated blood to and from mother and fetus.
Umbilical cord consists of amniotic epithelium and Wharton’s jelly containing extracellular matrix composed of collagen, proteoglycans, and hyaluronic acid.

41 out of 47 Growth Factors are higher in EpiCord than in NEOX 1K processed umbilical cord.
Collagen type I is visible in green. Hyaluronic acid is visible in red. Cell nuclei are visible in blue. Colocalization of hyaluronic acid (red) and cell nuclei (blue) appears pink. The PURION Plus process preserves the composition of hyaluronic acid and collagen type I extracellular matrix within umbilical cord tissues.
Amnion/Chorion Membrane Allograft
The EpiFix dehydrated Human Amnion/Chorion Membrane (dHACM)
Allograft is a minimally manipulated natural membrane that provides a scaffold for cellular ingrowth, modulates inflammation, and reduces scar tissue formation for enhanced healing.
Benefits of EpiFix
• Enhances Healing
• Modulates Inflammation
• Reduces Scar Tissue Formation
Composition of EpiFix
It contains up to 226 different growth factors, specialized cytokines, and enzyme inhibitors that contribute to wound healing. Some key growth factors include:
•Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF) – Promotes proliferation of epithelial cells
•Transforming Growth Factor β (TGF-β) – Anti-inflammatory, promotes normal wound healing, and reduces scar formation
•Fibroblast Growth Factor (FGF) – Encourages cellular proliferation and collagen matrix formation
•Platelet-Derived Growth Factor A & B (PDGF A & B) – Supports cell proliferation in connective tissue and enhances soft tissue healing
Shelf Life: 5 years at ambient conditions

The extracellular matrix of the amniotic membrane consists of three major biomolecule classes:
•Structural proteins: Collagen types I, III, IV, V, VII, and elastin
•Specialized proteins: Fibronectin, TIMPs†, and laminins
•Proteoglycans: Formed when glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) are linked to core proteins
